  1. They boo him as they want to see more Paris based payers get a chance and not the Harlem Globetrotters. Fair play to them.
  2. Not the first time this season where a manager has publicly slated a ref and then got a favourable decision the next game. I remember Nketiah getting pen the game after Arteta had one of his diva rants about refs. The FA needs to be much harsher on this as it blatant manipulation.
  3. Gonna be fun watching them try and play long ball football against Burn, Botman & Schar
  4. Every one had a blue tick now thanks to Elon. Never heard of the bloke.
  5. Everton bench that poor? Nee subs apart from Coleman
  6. He’s made three unbelievable saves this game.
  7. Actually heard some chants that I’ve not heard outside of away ends. I’m up in level 7 so couldn’t tell but it sounded like Strawberry corner. “This club is my club” was particularly audible. Would be great for the home fans to expand their songbook a little.
  8. He’ll be fine, has all the ingredients there and still very young. He seems desperate for a moment and contribution to the team, it will come he just needs to trust the process.
  9. My mate from Leeds reckons they might hit 80+ conceded goals. He think’s they are gone.
  10. Rumours of his demise were greatly exaggerated
  11. Some of the Everton reaction mind, you’d think that no team had ever been relegated from the Premier League before. They aren’t even down yet (but they will be)
  12. Crunched some the numbers on the lowest scoring teams to survive being relegated (20 team league). In the past ten years Villa stayed up with 31 goals (14-15 season). The absolute lowest was Sunderland in 01-02 who stayed up with 29 goals. Typically teams who finish 17th score around 34-40 goals. If they didn’t score another goal this season they’d be in the top 5 lowest scoring teams in the history of the PL relegated or not.
  13. Everton have only scored 25 goals all season, even the years we got relegated we scored 40+ they aren’t getting anywhere near that. That’s what will send them down, they defended alright at the start of the season, but if you simply can’t score goals you can’t survive. When they concede one they simply don’t believe they’ll get back in the game.
  14. It’s never been about improving their reputation in the West, I know way more now about the crimes of the state than I ever did before. The premier league is the biggest billboard in the world. Their goal is to become a popular tourist destination for people in the ME and Africa. That and the prestige of owning a club like their regional rivals. The whole reputation laundering angle is very west centric and assumes that they give a fuck what the middle class of the UK think of them.
  15. Took Spanish lessons through Newcastle City learning back around 2014 and Williamson was randomly in the same class as me (he wanted to be be able to speak to Colo and the others in Spanish) the teacher was an Argentine who did the English lessons for all our Spanish players. Absolute top bloke and absolutely chuffed for the success he’s had at Gateshead.
  16. Was Purslow not the guy who endlessly tried to lobby the league to allow the big to negotiate their own tv deals?
  17. Aye he’s really grown on me. Get a proper sense of the atmosphere in the away end.
  18. Murphy is to the right of Bruno about to put another tile out
  19. Yeah looking at their run in they can’t really grind out draws. They need wins, if we beat them tonight I think there’s a good chance they are down. Bournemouth Southampton tonight has no good outcomes for them if they lose.
  20. Maehle Has really stood out everytime I’ve seen him. Bring Hojlund along to keep him company!
  21. All the Everton fans I know personally are absolutely sound lads. Can’t say the same for Liverpool fans mind.
  22. If we could get an early goal I think we will be okay.
  23. Price of Football mentioned that Fulham has none corporate season tickets that are £3k! £157 a game to watch Fulham man
