Obviously they are focused on the Saudi League. But PIF don’t run our club and we are restricted by FFP. PIF definitely want us to succeed.
-
Who could we possibly be targeting for that forward role? Moussa Diaby, Kvaratskhelia (probably out of our range), Nico Williams, Rayan Cherki, Ricardo Horta, Steven Berghuis,
-
James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

I don’t think he’s got the physical attributes to be a starter in our system. He’s built like a teenage boy with no shoulders and isn’t exactly quick. He would have helped against the low press sides with his passing and shooting, but plenty more fish in the sea. -
KWP is an excellent full back. Would be a superb signing.
-
Incredibly harsh. I suppose the new owners have a more established manager lined up.
-
This is all leading towards some huge bids for the following players: - Isaac Hayden - Jeff Hendrick - Jamaal Lascelles - Javier Manquillo
-
Could we circumvent FFP by PIF companies paying personal sponsorship deals, external to the club to a player, along with a reasonable wage that keeps us within FFP limits.
-
What is the minimum offer you would accept for our key players? Pope - 40 mill Trippier - 30 mill Schar - 20 mill Botman - 80 mill Burn - 20 mill Targett - 20 mill Bruno - 110 mill Joelinton - 80 mill Willock - 50 mill Longstaff - 30 mill ASM - 30 mill Almiron - 30 mill Gordan - 40 mill Murphy - 20 mill Isak - 100 mill Wilson - 40 mill

Its obviously a tactic to keep the media onside with some insider information, but I doubt its completely accurate. The club will want their top targets ie. Szobozlai & Diaby. This will be a tactic to keep selling the narrative that we wont overpay. We will then sweep in later in the window ie. Isak.

By all accounts, Curtis Good trained the house down when on trial at NUFC. Held his own against Cisse, Ba, Ben Arfa et al. He had a decent season out loan at Bradford and made the League Cup Final playing left back. He then injured his hip playing for Australia on debut and was never the same again. Dont think he played a Senior game for 4 years or so after that. Its hard to know how good he could have been.

This is tough for me because I have huge admiration for Ange, but detest Spurs as a club. I do think he can do a Howe like job with that squad.
-
Would anyone take Jao Félix? I think Eddie could turn him from a decent player to world class. Could also help unlock those low block defences.
-
Yeh FFP loophole stuff.
-
Ange will turn it around with Spurs unfortunately. Winning the J-League and the Asian Cup is no easy task. He’s a proven winner that plays with style.
-
If we werent owned by PIF, Howe would have won it.
-
Leicester’s fault for not trying to win the game against us.
-
The man was elite in the transfer market ……
-
Patrick Schick? As a rotating option with Wilson?
-
Dubravka Schar. Botman. Burn Murphy. Longstaff Bruno. Targett Gordon. Isak. ASM try something different. With Wilson and Miggy off the bench.

I feel for his wife and kids. Has obviously taken the opportunity with them being away in Spain. I also hope it doesn’t affect the team harmony. He is a leader and role model to them all. Jamaal might need to give him a kick up the arse. I did find it strange when he spoke about needing to leave Spain and come back to England for private family reasons.

Barnes would be a good signing for West Ham and equal the counter attacking threat Bowen gives on the right to the left.
-
I agree with Froggy. I think Man Utd have had a really good season and the starting 11 is good with Eriksen & Casemiro as the CM's. I would be concerned about the low GD issue, however this will be solved with the signing of a proven striker. They will challenge top 4 and above next season.
-
We might as well sign Mo Salah
-
For 20-30 mill, yes, he was brilliant last season in a functional and confident side.
