Garang is on for the second half.
-
He took the ball down the line and used his right foot a few times, which was nice.
-
I would love Walker-Peters to be our Tripper replacement. I think he’s got it all as a fullback.
-
Eddie does love playing mind games with the opposition. There is every chance he starts.
-
Paqueta is a good player. Just not suited to the way West Ham play and perhaps struggling with the intensity and speed of the premier league.
-
He’s still comfortably better than any fullback we’ve ever had, even when he is having 6/10 games.
-
I don’t think he has the physical attributes to play in Eddie’s system. Yes, he can play a nice diagonal or through all, but we need more from our holding midfielder.
-
Our top targets are Moussa Diaby & James Maddison. Anything less than the quality of these two and I'd be disappointed.
-
I would hope that we are aiming higher than Gordan if we are looking for a player that can excite fans and be in the stating 11. Gordan would be fine as a squad player (ignoring his character), but we shouldnt be spending 30 mill on a squad player.
-
Exactly. It isn’t just 15-20 mill towards another transfer, it’s also 80,000 per week off the wage bill for the next 18 months. If we are smart we can do a fair bit with that money.
-
I think Fraser and Darlow will leave as well.
-
Perhaps Moukoko is incoming?
-
Is Goncalo Ramos out of our reach now?
-
Van Dijk wasnt one of the best CB’s of the last decade when he signed for Liverpool though.
-
I cant agree with this. Targett's biggest strength is his 1 on 1 defending.
-
at least Wilson hsd 3 or so chances he would normally put away. In his previous couple of games he was nowhere near scoring. He stays in the side for me and Isak off the bench again.
-
correct. It’s just the pain and swelling that makes it hard to play on with. you can normally continue with a grade 1 tear with a bit of joint movement and adrenaline.
-
My guess would be a 4-6 week grade 2 ligament tear injury for Bruno with that ankle.
-
it’s a shame Krafth got injured, he was brilliant at the end of last season.
-
Wilson and ASM have to start this one.
-
pretty sure Kuol is on the same. Must be the going rate for promising talent.
-
i hope so! Would be great for NUFC and Australian football. He does seem like a really humble and grounded kid, so the signs are good.

i think you need to understand that in a nation like Australia, the World Cup is the only way football makes it into the main stream media. It’s one opportunity every 4 years to make a statement, draw attention and hopefully funding into the sport. This can only happen by being successful and winning games at the World Cup. The sport is so poorly funded by both commercial partners and the government. All government money goes to AFL, Cricket and Rugby. Kuol was brought into the squad as an impact player to help create and score goals at the end of games. Not for experience or for helping him with his work permit.
-
Australia were holding onto 1-0 leads and defending for their lives in both those games, It’s not the time to bring on a raw, x-factor attacking player who has only played minimal professional games in his young career. I would have loved to have seen more of him though.

I agree with your post flip, except for terrible side. Terrible sides don't win 2 games at a world cup and push a tournament favourite in a KO games. Yes, it isn't beautiful football, but its effective at getting results.
