He did have a meltdown as the Australian national team coach and quit before going to the world cup. There was scrutiny from the media and pundits around his tactics and his stubbornness to change formation even with losing results.

I do think their second half performance was good with regards to controlling possession and playing with a weakened back line. But they didn’t create the clear cut chances to draw or win the game. He can be proud of their performance. But we also decided to sit back and absorb pressure.

Awful at controlling the ball and retaining posession, but hes incredibly effective in the front third and works his bollocks off.

Yeh hes still complaining about the injuries, squad depletion and also comlpaining about decisions that he felt didnt go their way. Hes completely losing the plot.

I wouldn’t swap him for any other left back in the league.

His last 20 minutes were superb. Elite power, intelligence and endurance to win the ball back and manage the game.

I think he will be eased in. Schar and Burn haven’t done anything wrong in the PL. They’ll be given the opportunity until form drops or there’s an injury.

His development has stalled. However, he is still very young. I wouldnt want to pay anymore than 40 mill for him.

What would he be worth now? Would be a huge amount given age, experience and quality.

Malen is a player we should be going after at that price?

I like Hojlund. He just shouldnt be the number one striker for a dysfunctinoal team with ambitions of being top 4/5. With a better side and a couple more years of development, he will be class.
