I fully expect Watford to improve significantly second half as the manager's influence becomes more key - that said it's hardly possible for them to be worse. I have no knowledge of their manager other than that he's not Bruce and therefore likely better.

I think the last time I full-on celebrated a goal for us was when Rondon scored against Liverpool, however I feel like it was more in support of him personally than the club. At the expense of using a PFM phrase, he's a proper striker and enjoyable to watch.

So that makes two entities at Everton that I look upon with genuine fondness vs the one at Newcastle (ASM). I will never stop supporting Newcastle but I'm so passive whilst we are the way we are that I'm genuinely tempted to get my fill this year by watching Everton. I love football but Newcastle actively makes me not want to watch any of it whatsoever and it's been so many years that I legitimately feel like I'm falling out of touch.

Almiron is a shadow of the player we signed. He may have always had certain limitations but his biggest strength was the positivity with which he played with which appears to have been totally drained from him. He barely does anything of note these days.
