In 13 tears years time

I have just heard that there was a furious row between Keegan and Jiminez last night regarding the Barton proposed transfer, almost fists, Jiminez agreed the deal to sell Barton before consulting with Keegan and when Keegan found out he lost it. Fair enough after all the public support Keegan has given Barton it would look really odd to sell him at the last knock of the transfer window. This info has came from a friend who knows the agent who managed to screw up the Benjani deal last January and is connected at Portsmouth so shoot me now for being an ITK and a friend of a friend etc. Anyway it finished with it's either him or me, this town ain't big enough for the both of us etc etc. Keegan lost! Could have been sacked for gross misconduct if he went to strike a colleague meaning that he also would not be entitled to have his contract paid up either........... This has every chance of being way wide of the mark but, thought I would type it out to see whether there is any other comment, other than "here we go again ITK" of course.
-
Your guess is as good as ours right now. Nothing official but, the longer it drags on without any sort of statement from the club the less likely it is that Keegan is still in charge!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/7593683.stm "Newcastle have picked up only 4 points from their first 3 games" Fuck me, a point at Old Trafford, a home win and a defeat at The Emerates is hardly a bad start to the season!!
-
If this is really happening and being played out like a soap opera on Sky Sports News then it is a disaster, it is exactly what everyone said would happen if we appointed Keegan again, he would walk (or be sacked) within a year. We are just playing straight into the media's hands again!! Just like when we sell a player we all hope there is a replacement lined up and there never is, this will prove to be the same. How the fuck Ashley has managed to be such a successful business man I will never know, if he runs his businesses in the same way he has appeared to run NUFC then he should be living in a hole in the ground without a penny to scratch his arse with.

All SSN are focussing on is Berbatov, having said that there is bot all else going on at the moment.
-
bbc.co.uk/football will give you the games as they are drawn live.
-
And a negative reaction could lead to him giving up, sulking and generally being a disruptive influence behind the scenes.
-
Just another thought on Milner's position at the club now. Next home game, assuming he is still here, he will be shitting himself over what sort of fans reaction he is going to get following this news breaking. If it is, as most people seem to think, just a ploy to open talks for better salary (which I am sure goes on all the time!) I think it is important that the fans show that we still want him here and want him to continue with the same level of effort that he has always shown. I personally would give him a solid and positive welcome onto the field and hope that everyone else does the same.

Ok, only read them for the forst time this morning. Fair enough. Still not the best of news though!!

NUFC.COM - Quoting Keegan on a few things I noted this little comment as he is starting to appear to prepare the fans for the fact that no-one is coming into the club this week!! Not really what anyone wants to hear the day after the "big meeting" with the directors. If this is the case and no-one is lined up to join us then it is even more important that Milner doesn't leave the club.
-
Have a read of the piece on nufc.com and their opinion of the whole scenario, I think they have just about summed things up perfectly when you consider that Milner is on less that £30k per week and plays his heart out week in week out, granted his final product is not great but, he can only get better, while other players are on double his salary purely on reputation from their previous clubs and do fuck all for us. Milner is a player we should be looking to keep and further develop. It would make me really mad to see him in 5 years time playing for another club as one of the best English players in the Premier League, quite possible in my opinion............
-
Am I reading that right? Slightly contridicting I think, either 5 days is long enough or 5 days isn't and I am not sure which you are saying. Sorry?
-
Is it about jan when the Premier League clubs join the competition?

I would never want a player at St James' that didn't really want to be there, Berbatov seems to have his heart set on a move to Man Utd and anything else would be second best............ Would be a bad move for us in my opinion although I do know that he is supposed to have a soft spot for NUFC. Who knows what is going on behind the scenes really? -

Exactamundo. If you're sitting lower down in the stand space will be at a premium on the bottom concourses and that n all, can't speak for upstairs. I'm in Block L on the upper tier but, I doubt the concourse will be any less busy than the lower one. Went to the Valencia game and the biggest negative point I can say now, it gives me some concerns for the season as well, is the state of the toilets and only one very dodgy sink to rinse me fingers!!
-
So really nothing has "actually" changed in the East Stand, the little fella still sits in the box behind the perspex and instead of handing a season ticket book or paper ticket over you scan your card then he opens the turnstyle then? OK, better expect 5 - 10 minute queues then.
-
Season Tickets due to arrive Thursday/Friday - see OP for latest

Unless you have set a personal pass word you default should just be your home postcode. -
That is what is bothering me. Most people have elluded to the fact that a lot of people in the East Stand seem to struggle with the concept of placing a card next to a scanner, that coupled with the fact that there are turnstyles in place I better plan to get to St James' a little earlier than I have in the past. Probably head up there at about 2:30pm and maybe even try a pint from a plastic beaker on the concourse! Far cry from the warm carpetted bar that I have had the use of in the Sovereign Club, shame - however, not worth £990 for a season I can assure you!!
-
Last season I was in The Sovereign Club in the Milburn Stand, you could roll up any time before kick off and there was never a queue for the swipe machine so it took seconds to get into the ground. Due to cost I have moved to the East Stand, my experience of the East Stand from years ago with paper tickets was that there was always lengthy queues at every turnstyle and it took ages to get into the ground. Question: Has the swipe cards helped that at all? (hopes!)
