  1. The one to the right in Lens colors Thanks, I also didn't know what colour Lens played in.
  2. Which one is he in that photo? [/lazy]
  3. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/05/16/shola-and-sammy-ameobi-tell-of-nufc-pride-72703-28701307/2/ I'm touched.
  4. It depends whether we ultimately want to keep him IMO. I wouldn't want him to go back to Brighton again and consider himself a Brighton player. Obviously if we ultimately want to sell him to them then fair enough.... but personally I would send him somewhere else if he's going out on loan.
  5. Pretty hopeful that he's actually going to be good for us. Obviously wasn't fully fit yesterday but totally understandable and he did OK.
  6. Who is the absolute cretin commentating on this Arsenal game?
  7. Aye, this is basically my view. He's clearly not the finished article and doesn't always look always look assured, but hopefully next season he will be more experienced and stronger again.
  8. I think Bridge is a very decent player, but I hope it doesn't come to that.
  9. I just wish I knew what's stopping Shola being actually a good player... it's a mystery we'll all take with us to our graves.
  10. I wouldn't buy a goalkeeper - I know Krul doesn't look quite ready but he'll get there soon, and we have Forster.
  11. I wouldn't want Shearer anywhere near NUFC until he's actually done something good in management at a decent level. As Tina Turner said, "We don't need another hero".
  12. Thought his performance dropped off in the second half TBH, I didn't enjoy him dropping into midfield so much. But I guess it was necessary when we brought on the youngsters, prepared to admit I might have misjudged it.
  13. Same, will be disappointing if Blackpool go and those two survive.

    Alan Pardew

Yeah, that was class. Also followed up with "Carlo, give us a wave"... which he didn't respond to the bastard.
  15. I thought the floodgates were about to open after the first goal TBH, I had thought that before the start as well mind. When they scored their second I was gutted because it was clear that we deserved something from the game. Very pleased with how we performed generally, especially considering the players we were missing. It was hilarious when they brought Drogba, Essien and Malouda on and we had Sameobi, Lua Lua and Ranger waiting on the bench!
  16. I posted on facebook about him coming on and I spelled his name "sami"... am I racist? Either way, he did well and looks a lot more lively and mobile than Shola. Nice to see him get some time, should give him a boost for pre-season.
  17. Have you forgotten how he ran himself into the ground for us last time around?

    Alan Pardew

True, it's easy to think that he was forced into using the kids, which he was to an extent, but he could have found other ways to avoid playing Fergie et al.
  19. I fear for West Ham like... they will lose all the decent players and might not have the 'group of lads' that we had to band together and get them back up.
  20. If N'Zogbia had any problem, it was justified IMO. The blame lies with the club for mismanaging his career more than the player himself.
  21. Great picture that, sadly I was in the upper tier, boo.
  22. Totally agree we have the core of a good side, fingers crossed we can add the right players in the summer. If we could hold onto Enrique it would be a major boost as well.
