  1. People have been saying we should change to a DM almost since Howe arrived, I'm not sure he will ever do it. It's the high press that leaves the gaps, you couldn't press and leave a DM back. In the short-term it might be done I suppose, if the right loan player was available. But I don't see it as something Howe wants to do.
  2. Usually get there about 30 minutes before KO, haven't really had any problems.
  3. I’ve still never queued to get in for more than about 2 minutes. It’s worth remembering that (I think) your ticket opens any turnstile and you can freely walk around the whole ground once you’re in. Guess it’s the top tier that has queues since you can’t walk up when inside?
  4. Just surprised he shot so quickly.
  5. Agree, even if everyone could select their seats most people would be the same place they are now.
  6. Still not that great though. Broja unproven, Gallagher a nothing player, Nkunku completely new and returning from injury, Sterling hit and miss, Badiashiele looks leggy and cumbersome at the moment. Not to mention the amount of injuries to the likes of James and Chilwell. I think that first eleven is outside of the top 4 or maybe even 6. They do have good players but I’m not sure what it will take for them to come good as a team.
  7. I don’t think the atmosphere has got any worse like, it’s been up and down for decades. I think at the start of the game people were just a bit nervous because we thought we might lose. We’ve talked about whether we want orchestrated singing like European and MLS ultras. If we don’t want that, then the people will respond to the situation. Sometimes that is loud and sometimes it’s nervous. Of course it can be improved by creating an ‘ultras’ section and/or creating more safe standing and allowing people to choose their seats. Either way silly post from Mehdrad.
  8. I can really only remember that one mistake, and even for that he was kind of trapped into it because he didn’t have any options.
  9. I don’t think there’s any flexibility now though, the directive is they all have to be yellows.
  10. Never doubt that he’s going to finish a chance. Think I started celebrating before he actually hit the shot
  11. I don’t think the bench was a message to anyone, he already included 4 kids. We just physically don’t have the personnel that are worth including.

    Anthony Gordon

And he snapped it between the two defenders instead of trying to go around them both, very clever.
  13. Almost like the fact that he still does shit things. Reminds me of the old Joelinton.
  14. That pass was sublime, you watch football for hours because of moments like that. Unbelievable for a young lad.
  15. That’s our trademark now I think, can absolutely break the spirits of a team.
  16. I think I thought I was rubbish because I would miss a one-foot goal with a tennis ball while wearing school shoes
  17. Aye, I wasn’t into it at all until about 14. Still never attended any form of football training or coaching
  18. Never had any confidence at school due to everyone else being class. I played more rugby initially. Only when I got to Durham uni I realised that every lad wasn’t inherently brilliant at football That gave me a bit of a boost and enjoy smaller sided football to this day. Think my peak was probably early 30s, although I would probably be still about the same if I could get a bit fitter. Been quite lucky with injuries except sprained ankles so I still enjoy playing now. Every experience of amateur 11 a-side has been dire and can’t understand how anyone enjoys it.
  19. I’ll hazard a guess at another shite video I won’t click on.
  20. There is no point discussing stuff like Mitro coming back
  21. Maybe if he'd actually done something wrong
