  1. You are aware that Keegan came back, right? His record is better than the Record KK have in his second term thus make him a better one over him. Uh oh.
  2. Zoggy had a few setbacks though, partly his own attitude problems and partly the pointless signing of Duff just when he was playing his best. I still reckon he'll do really well if we have some confidence in him.
  3. That would be a bargain, and not a bad signing considering our situation.
  4. Because of the fact that we're languishing in a relegation scrap I can't really feel your joy. Glass half empty man eh?
  5. I'm a bit worried that whoever was in charge it would be very unlikely that any 'major signings' would be made in January, it just doesn't happen very often does it?
  6. If there's one thing that would make a man reconsider a decision, it's the set of circumstances that Ashley has endured since Keegan left. Maybe it is all enough to make him decide to give it another go.
  7. Difficult one with Viduka, obviously he's useful if fit but I think his future will be either to retire or continue as he has been, being a bit part player for whatever club he's at.
  8. Even to call it football is to flatter Big Sam a bit I reckon. I prefer to think of him as 'anti football', a strange game in which the only object is to keep the ball out of your own possession, preferably by launching it as far as you can up the pitch.
  9. I was a big fan as well, there weren't that many player who could carry the ball like he could.
  10. Where's the dodgy dossier, that's waht I want to know?
  11. How good does it feel to have made such a number of good signings by the way? Only one classic 'Newcastle signing', Nacho, and his problems seem to be down to fitness anyway. Excellent in many ways.
  12. I really feel sorry for Dyer about his fitness. If he hadn't have all his injury problems he would have been a fantastic player.
  13. Unfortunately he's never right. This week he got something like 3 results and 1 score, you'd be better off flipping a coin.
  14. I bit clubs wish they could shut their players up for once.
  15. We should seize on this opportunity of him showing he might stay to forget about what has happened and give him a second chance to make the club a success. It's in his hands not ours tbh. If he backs the manager with decent money in Jan and shows he's in it for the long term, a lot of fans would be happy enough with that. Pleased to hear it.
  16. We should seize on this opportunity of him showing he might stay to forget about what has happened and give him a second chance to make the club a success.
  17. People like Ashley don't get where they are by apologising to people, I doubt we'll ever get an apology. I think we need a mass apology session, where the fans apologise for being reactionary morons, Keegan apologies for being a volatile mutherfucker who never finishes a job, and Ashley apologies for being so spineless and plunging the club into turmoil. A real air clear.
  18. Except, of course, the media reports of Wise & Llabias et al coming to Keegan with a list of key players with a price attached to each and every one of them. They may well want to avoid relegation, but there's no reason to believe they've somehow stopped being interested in cashing in on the players. I don't believe they ever were interested in 'cashing in' on anyone. Those media reports you talk about are nothing more than rumours, probably bollocks.
  19. Thing is though, no supporter's club can really represent everyone all the time, we know from this forum that fans have widely differing views. If I had my way, we would tell Ashley that we'll give him another chance and ask him to stay on... but I doubt everyone else on here would agree with me. There's very little a supporters club can acheive in terms of the business of the club and multi million pound decisions, they should concern themselves with the day-to-day things that they have a chance to affect.
  20. Sorry, that's complete rubbish. Why would 'any decent bid' for any of our players be accepted? I know Ashley wants to sell, but the man doesn't want relegation and a massive reduction in the value of his asset. There's no reason at all to think what you're saying is true.
  21. Tom, I see where you're coming from about the countdown and christmas poem highlighting 'something serious', but you have to realise that the most important thing in communications/PR is not just getting the message across, but how you get the message across. You must realise that a billionaire businessman is supremely unlikely to engage in discussion with a group that resorts to such measures. It seems we've reached the point where nothing more can be said, if Ashley selling is the objective you want, so NUSC should use this opportunity to show themselves as balanced, reasoned and pursuing some other issues.
