  1. Sometimes we ask to be treated like emotional, whinging wrecks. I don't think we can say there has been a 'lack of an appointment' in a negative sense yet. They're just still looking for the right man, which is normal.
  2. I care absolutely about the diection of the club - we were going in the wrong one and now things are looking a lot better, the Keegan incident apart so, tell me about the things that are looking better... All in my opinion of course: We aren't in the championship, which we might well have been with the last owner and Allardyce. A thorough review of the club has taken place. We have a management structure in place that will work better with the right man in the hotseat. We are engaged in sensible, sustainable spending. The players we have brought in look good. The squad, although small, is a lot better than last season. Anyway, this thread isn't to debate the endless evils of Mike 'Hitler' Ashley, that's been done to death over the last few days. I just think the rhetoric about the 'heart being ripped out the team' and the vitriol directed towards Ashley is ridiculous. On the theme of the thread, our loyalty is out achilles heal sometimes... we are passionate but not very reasonable at times like this.
  3. I care absolutely about the diection of the club - we were going in the wrong one and now things are looking a lot better, the Keegan incident apart. I wish people would stop saying that anyone who isn't tearing their hair out with rage towards Ashley 'isn't loyal' is a 'sheep' or 'doesn't care about the club'. Self important feckers.
  4. Listen man, fair enough if you think you want to boycott the game or whatever, but it's stupid to say that anyone who disagrees isn't loyal or is a 'sheep' or something equally idiotic. Personally, I think blame should be shared between Keegan and the club, I don't have any problem with Ashley at the moment and so I won't be boycotting anything. Baaa!
  5. I'm not worried at all by that article, I hope nobody would expect him to use the Sports Direct AGM to talk about Newcastle - they're completely separate businesses.
  6. Eh? Because you do think that black people are natural born criminals? I don't understand... In areas such as Tottenham, a lot of ethnic minorities live in poor conditions and have to resort to crime to make a living. I don't think any race are more liable to commit crimes, it's just relative to the area that people live in. In London you get thieving cunts and criminals of all ethnicities, North London areas like this have large populations of blacks living below the poverty line and subsequently there are more black criminals. What he said was an observation in a ''non-PC'' manner. If that's what he was thinking when he said that then I'll let him off, but somehow I don't think it was. And if it was he needed to include a few of the explanations you have!
  7. True, but they have a long history of printing racist articles alongside articles criticising other racists. Just another one of the things that makes them evil.
  8. He was doing the job he was hired to do wasn't he? That just didn't include signing players, and he thought it should. Whether or not he knew that from the start is the only real question.
  9. Oh the irony !!! Tell me about it Think he'll get over it pretty quickly though.
  10. I'm looking forward to seeing Xisco if he gets on against Hull. I don't think the Keegan thing will affect him that much to be honest. Will be nice to actually talk about a game again.
  11. Eh? Because you do think that black people are natural born criminals? I don't understand...
  12. The fact that anyone is reporting Ince as a possible candidate is beyond the realms of farce. I'm as a big a critic of the press as anyone, but this beggars belief even for me.
  13. It wasn't a hierarchy of Ashley, Llambias, Wise, Jimenez and then Keegan though was it? It was more just a division of responsibility, with a team of equally-senior people taking charge of different aspects of the club.
  14. I'm beginning to think Zico might be the best option, not really sure why though!
  15. Wasn't Freddy's favourite way to communicate not spouting shit to whatever tabloid reporter happened to have a tape recorder under the table? I can do without that kind of communication to be honest. Seriously though, I don't remember thinking, 'wow, these guys are so great at communicating with the fans'. The only time I have thought that in recent times is when Chris Mort came in.
  16. Think you might be missing the point - it's the bit where he follows it up by saying "so naturally there is a lot of crime" that does the job!
  17. You're right, even if this mess hadn't ended with Keegan walking away, I couldn't see him being here more than a couple of years - so he was never the long term answer.
  18. Pleased to hear it, as long as that means getting behind the manager as well. Hopefully everyone else in SJP agrees with us.
  19. True, but then aren't rich companies usually successful companies, meaning they are already making a return for the people in charge so they are less likely to want to sell?
  20. This is exactly what I've been thinking. Glad you've been honest about it. Aye.
  21. Good man. Pie and a pint at half time? Some merchandise in Sports Direct before the game?
  22. I'm just hoping that the upside of some people's reactionary attitudes and short term thinking is that they will be caught up in the excitement of a new boss, and therefore get behind the team.
  23. Firstly, that's out of order. (I only post beautifully argued prose - you know that). Secondly, of course I saw Dennis Wise play and I thought he was an odious little cock. I've said as much on here many times. It's just I have the braincells to separate personal dislike of him as a player from how he is doing in his current job.
