I was thinking more of a striker who wasn't getting regular football for the likes of Man City, Chelsea, PSG, Bayern Munich, etc. I bet a few clubs get some decent loan players in by 11pm tomorrow.

So we have more attacking options but Pardew doesn't trust any of them to start over an unfit Siem de Jong? We were playing Crystal Palace and we were the home side. Pardew could have started Perez, Ferreyra or Gouffran upfront alongside Riviere to give him some support. He also had midfielders he could have started over de Jong.

It looks like tomorrow is going to be a very busy day. Man City have a few players they want to move on. Man U need to bring players in and move players out. Chelsea probably need to loan out 23 players who would make the first team at most clubs. All those moves will have a knock on effect to the rest of the league. I can see a few clubs getting players on loan that they'd never be able to get under normal circumstances.

Going by what happened on the pitch Pardew's game plan must be for the wingers to cross the ball into the box. That's all well and good but who are those crosses aimed at? We rarely have bodies in the box when we attack. Maybe two players if we are lucky. Also, who out of our attackers are good headers of the ball? We play as if we have an old fashioned number 9 up front but we haven't. Considering it is on the club's official Youtube channel I laughed when I saw these comments: -

That's a big problem when the formation NUFC are playing is specifically set up to accommodate him as the number 10 behind the striker.

Our front two have done nothing.

The trouble is that was us attacking the Gallowgate end. We rarely score goals (I could stop this sentence there) going the other way.

It's disgusting that we are the home team but we can't get shots on target against a very mediocre side. One of the reasons I gave up on my season ticket. We are the home team but you'd think we were the away team going by the amount of chances created.

The game plan often seems to be for our wide men to get crosses into the box. You'd think we had players who scored headers regularly. The whole team need to practice shooting. We rarely seem to shoot.
