To Lambias: - Who are your team? What does your team do? When did you first lose your ability to speak? How would you assess the job you've done at Newcastle? How well do your casino managing skills translate to the running of a Premier League Football club? What are you and your team doing to stop Newcastle getting relegated?

This gave me a chuckle when I saw it: - http://www.true-faith.co.uk/tf/features.nsf/0/0B6063207CADA4178025754A00265109?OpenDocument http://www.true-faith.co.uk/tf/features.nsf/LookupUNID/0B6063207CADA4178025754A00265109/$File/shepherdLarge.jpg

N'Zogbia: Lyon interested according to agent
LoveItIfWeBeatU replied to TêteDeMaure's topic in Football
If he's so desperate to go perhaps he'd like to: - 1. Hand in an official transfer request. 2. Pay the difference out of his own pocket between what another club offer Newcastle for him and what Newcastle believe he is worth. Put up or shut up Charles you moaning arsehole. -
Well Martin O'Neill has already commented on Owen this week. He neither confirmed nor denied interest but if he can get him on a free in the Summer it's a definite possibility. I assume you're thinking Owen will only go where the massive salaries are? I think he'd swap that for a crack at the top 4 and European football. There has already been a rumour that he has agreed to join Man City. I didn't think it before but if Man U don't keep Tevez maybe they wouldn't mind Owen on a free? They did get Henrik Larsson after all.
-
Please enlighten me to which one of the top 4 he is going to exactly........... ? Why top 4? Aston Villa and Man City offer better prospects than Newcastle.
-
You can't sell someone who doesn't want to leave. No way would Owen go to who Newcastle sold him to. He's got the world at his feet when he's out of contract in the Summer.
-
I would have thought that anyone who hoped Owen would stay after this season would have given up on that by now.
-
I doubt that to be honest. I think he'll go to Aston Villa or Man City for a huge pay cut but better chances of playing in Europe and winning something.
-
Dirt cheap compared to Brucey's valuation of him. So much for Liverpool wanting him (if they did it serves them right for trying to get him on a free in the summer). I'm sure he'll get more games at Villa though.

http://www.journallive.co.uk/north-east-news/todays-news/2009/01/23/nufc-accounts-reveal-state-of-the-club-61634-22760509/ The wage bill should be getting smaller at the end of the season when Owen, Viduka, Cacapa, Gonzalez and quite possibly Harper, Butt, Edgar all leave. -
I read he was out until March. I've also read he may be out for the season. Probably on ICNewcastle somewhere tacked on the end of a different story.

The thing is Boro may change their manager and get the new manager boost. Christ! Even Southgate is saying he'd understand if they got rid of him.

Before Mike Ashley finished his takeover we read in the media reports about how he liked to "park his tanks on his rivals lawns". Maybe his reaction to the fans protesting him was "How dare they protest me? I'll show them by getting their beloved Newcastle United relegated!" Cutting off his nose to spite his face? I don't seriously think that is his plan but what he's doing is making that 'plan' happen. I doubt Mike Ashley is a billionaire anymore. He was worth £1.9Bn including Sports Direct. With the collapse of the world economy I doubt he's worth half that now.
-
If they think that now wait until next season.

I've already posted it here: - http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,59462.60.html I thought it fit the thread.

I've read the rumour several times in the media. Redknapp doesn't rate him if you believe what you read. -

I ended my post with the relegation question but I suppose what I was really asking is do you enjoy supporting Newcastle United anymore? I've seen a lot of people say how they enjoy going to the match because of the going for a drink with their mates part. They often say the actual match ruins the day. How many weekends and evenings has your mood been ruined by NUFC? As many have mentioned, some are now at the dangerous time where we don't even get upset anymore about poor results because we expect them. Apathy is setting in. Newcastle is our club and I'm not suggesting anyone switches allegiances to another club but in a way NUFC is like a bad relationship. You get shabby treatment but you keep coming back in the hope for better times. I definitely don't want Newcastle to be relegated. People often say though that in the stands a lot of the crowd no longer support and spend the match moaning. You've got to wonder why those people keep spending their money on something they don't like. "It's your team and you support them" is all well and good but how many other things would you spend your time and money on without getting any pleasure out of it? It's a bit masochistic. I'll always want NUFC to do well but there doesn't seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel anymore.
