  1. He does realise he's playing to get in to the French European Championship squad doesn't he?
  2. New manager bounce is our only chance of avoiding relegation.

  4. Naive is giving them an excuse. I'd use the word "tactical" rather than "naive". I doubt they'd have played him at all if they weren't in a relegation fight. They played him and he helped keep them up (and win another derby). Financially it was easily worth it for them.

  7. He keeps saying the team isn't consistent. He's wrong. The team performances are consistently shit. The good performances are the anomalies.
  8. We'd get in then Maybe not, we're a bit of a bogey team for Spurs (we even beat them 2-1 away this very season when we haven't pick up many points away from home).
  9. Even if he's found not guilty of these 2 charges, the 2 charges he has already pleaded guilty to have ended his career and mean he'll have to keep a low profile.
  10. He was injured up until he made his come back at LB. It's not like he was sitting waiting for his chance. He couldn't have played any earlier than he did. If he wants to leave at the end of the season he will. His injury record would mean he won't get a huge pay day (relatively speaking) at any other club until he proves his fitness.
  11. Didn't Palace beat them 4-0 or something at SOL last season? No idea. I was going by his record against Sunderland with NUFC. Even if he's beaten Sunderland once with Crystal Palace I don't have a lot of confidence in him doing it again when it will help us. Especially when Crystal Palace are in terrible form.
  12. Pardew's management record against Sunderland stinks. I fully expect Crystal Palace to lose to Sunderland. A Sunderland defeat or draw would be an unexpected bonus in Newcastle's fight against relegation.
  13. Robot Wars man seemed to want Crystal Palace to win there.
  14. Looks like it turned in to a two person job: - http://www.jermaindefoe.com/contact General Enquiries Natalie Everett-Pain- natalie[at]defoeenterprises.com Media and Commercial Enquires Chonte Edgar - chonte[at]jermaindefoe.com
  15. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jermain_Defoe#Personal_life http://www.jermaindefoe.com/biography And the Lord said unto Jermain, "Get thy end away as often as possible. Spread your seed far and wide. Break up marriages when you can. Go to lap dancing clubs and try to pull the dancers." Just another religious person who bends the rules when it suits him. Next time he's interviewed and mentions god the interviewer should ask him about his shagging.
  16. The reason I thought it was Saivet was because the camera cut to him running back and smiling after the goal.
  17. To be fair you'd think Perez was awful based on this game. He kept trying to walk through the opposition.
  18. Was thinking the same. The red card tackle which the FA didn't bother themselves to look at after the game. Fabregas wasn't even booked so you have to assume the ref didn't see it. If a Newcastle player had done the same challenge on a Chelsea player he'd have got a 3 match ban. Another problem with our team and club is we don't complain about decisions. It's very rare for our players to complain about bad decisions. Meekly accepting their fate while other teams complain about every single decision.
  19. Shearer's point was that Thauvin kept turning up in a DJ even after putting in some awful performances. Didn't Shearer say a clown outfit might have been more appropriate? You can have a laugh when you are doing well. Having a laugh when you are doing shit makes it look like you don't care.
  20. "Newcastle United have conceded three-or-more goals on a staggering SEVEN separate occasions in the Premier League this season - and an embarrassing 28 times since the beginning of the 2013-14 campaign" http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-conceded-three-more-10895708
  21. They only need to ask a manager to take over to the end of the season. If things go well then great, if we get relegated they can walk away. We may even get a new manager bounce for once. It's worked for plenty of other clubs. Even if they decide to keep McClaren and we some how managed to stay up I'd sack him in the Summer. He's failed.
  22. "We caused our own problems. We knew Chelsea would come out quick. They wanted to win that game by half-time with the week they have ahead of them. You get one or two of these games a season. I've told the players don't let that derail us. It was damage limitation by half-time. I just wanted to make sure we scored a goal and stayed in the game." "You get one or two of these games a season"? We get one or two games like this a month.
