  1. I've noticed the media are tending to be putting Papiss Cissé's name before Jonny Evans' name when reporting this incident. Why not list the names in order of who spat first? It's almost like the media are massively biased. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/
  2. Why do we concede so many late goals? You sit through 89 minutes and start to think "that was poor but at least we are getting a point" then the sucker punch arrives.
  3. Not a mention of the penalty appeal on http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/31449427
  4. I still think his arse kicking at rangers will somehow have a negative effect on us It's not anywhere near an arse kicking, he still controls all the bits that make money and holds security over the assets, win win for Mikey boy. Exactly. There's no way he's not coming out of this massively in credit.
  5. He's the sublime and the ridiculous. He creates chances and wastes chances. He causes problems for the opposition. They may know he's a headless chicken but they still have to chase him in case he does something good. I thought he was a good out ball today. He carried the ball forward. He screwed up a good chance but he usually does. I'd have him in the team, especially when Aarons and Cabella are injured.
  6. Apart from Riviere for Perez, it's the same team I'd have picked from what's available. To be fair, Perez has looked tired recently. He may be more effective coming on as a sub. At least Riviere isn't playing up front on his own. Obertan and Riviere at least add some much needed pace to our attack.
  7. http://www.nufc.com/ If Shola believes he's got enough quality to play for another two or three years in the Premier League, I'd love to know the real reason why he signed for a Turkish second division side last Summer.
  8. Cabella's out so I'm changing it to: - Cissé Perez Sissoko Ameobi Abeid Obertan What squad depth we have, thanks Mike Ashley!
  9. As Colback is banned will NUFC finally stop fielding two defensive midfielders when at home (regardless of the standard of opposition)? Surely Carver won't start Anita and Abeid? We're awful at defending and not much better at attacking. If we must be shit I'd rather we went down trying to attack than trying to defend. Apparently Cabella might be fit for this game. I'd pick: - Cissé Perez Sissoko Obertan or Ameobi Abeid Cabella The defence picks itself.
  10. I don't get why some people want Jonas to get a game for NUFC. Nobody wanted Jonas in the side when Pardew kept picking him. I doubt Jonas has become a better player in the interim. Anyway, what's the point in giving him game time? He's leaving in the Summer. We may as well play one of the youngsters instead. We rightly complained last season when Gosling and Shola kept getting games ahead of players who were going to be at the club in the next season. The last time NUFC played a player out of sentiment it was Alan Smith. Last game of the season, we were winning 3 - 0 against West Brom which would have secured an 8th place finish (if memory serves). Pardew brought Smith on and the game ended 3 - 3. Bringing Smith on was more damaging than if we'd had someone sent off. We ended up in the bottom half of the table.
  11. A lot of our players have hearts the size of peas. Has any other team been thrashed as often as we have in the last few seasons? This club is a disgrace.
  12. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-want-embark-fresh-8658732 The headline makes me laugh. They want to embark on fresh recruitment drive this summer? With the number of players coming to the end of their contracts (and others wanting to leave) they'll absolutely HAVE to go on a recruitment drive in the Summer if they want to stay in the Premiership (assuming we don't get relegated this season). http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,94932.25.html

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/mehdi-abeid-wants-prove-newcastle-8643980 Mehdi talks about the possibility of NUFC winning games as if it's somehow doing something completely out of the ordinary.
  14. He doesn't play like he is trying to get a move to another club. He hasn't put in a good performance since the transfer window closed.
  15. He was like a bull in a china shop today. He kept running out of defence and losing the header just like he did against Southampton.
  16. Credit where it's due he was good today.

    John Carver

It reminds me of 'Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King'. Carver has an army of the dead on his side. http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140427132305/lotr/images/9/97/Aragorn_and_army_of_dead.jpg
  18. and he got the injury while on duty for his country.
  19. Probably already posted but: - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31032158

Imagine being one of the 'normal' NUFC staff. Your annual bonus is based on NUFC finishing in the top 10 of the Premiership. After talk of managers with pedigree possibly getting the 'head coach' job, Carver is appointed to the end of the season. To add insult to injury Lee Charnley says the club don't plan on buying any players in the January transfer window.
  21. There had been rumours of clubs (including NUFC?) getting him for free in the Summer. Not any more: - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30974613
  22. That steward didn't like the Leicester player going to celebrate with his fans. Very aggressive.
