Faye is equally adept as a defensive midfielder too. So he plays RB but can cover DM/CB. I would like Diarra but I don't see him coming here. It was weird on MOTD seeing Kieron running at Bramble! Yeah I kind of laughed to myself, thinking thank god they're out of our hands now. I remember seeing them both eating together in Scalinis on Osbourne Road and now watching them on MOTD head to head with each other. Weird........but a good weird

Come on people, lets get the hype ball rolling, this is going to be THE best match of the season!..................so far! About an hour now before kick-off, our hearts pounding, our imaginations in overdrive, THIS IS THE DAY OF RECKONING!!!!! :clap2: :clap2: :knuppel2: :frantic: And off the topic for a second, found this funny: Craig Moore, who was booked in no fewer than 11 of his 31 games for Newcastle, was sent off for two bookable offences in five minutes as his side drew 2-2 against Adelaide. On his debut

Slight grammar nazi-mode but.......madras.....theres usually a space after commas. Its just one of those petty things in life thats always bugged me, sorry :icon_biggrin:

He's history and forgotten about now. I don't like to mutter anything about his regime as it was mostly just depressing. We now look forward to a brighter future with greater stability and more common sense.

just ignore it. they have to sell papers somehow

Fantastic stuff

I can't wait until after the initial 5-6 matches of the season have passed because hopefully our fitness levels will be up there and thats when the new players are more in contention. We'll just have to be patient with potential niggling injuries until then
-
Exactly. And if anyone needs to know what Ramage brings to the team then just ask AS9
-
Sorry if its been mentioned but is Enrique starting this match? Has Sam mentioned him at all? Really want to see him play and get stuck in like a bull

I think we've all hit the point in the transfer window where we just want our squad done and dusted. A bit of closure will be nice come Sept 1st and we can all just relax a bit from all of the fun of the silly season Keep telling yourselves: Last summer - Sibierski, Bernard, Rossi. Then a little grin might might appear Get mr Faye in asap and then we can settle down and plan out matches properly with all players accounted for 8)

You have to be kidding. You are talking about a bloke who has never, ever, ever, ever looked interested in playing for us IMO Would you blame him if he looked miserable? Roeder did fuck all for his confidence. I'd be down in the dumps if I was seeing the likes of Pattison, Shola, Carrol, etc being played in front of me EVEN during a terrible injury ravaged season. You'd surely think what the fuck have I done wrong? He could of gotten back into the team this season but if Ajax came in and offered you a guranteed place, after showing they have faith in you, surely you'd have jumped at the chance? Theres more to it then playing passionately in front of 52k fans. Family life, team mates, the press; all questioning the £10m fee when you can't even get the chance to show them. His role as a sub all the time certainly must've gotten him down even more.........it jus all builds up and kicks your confidence, especially with a muppet like Roeder handling it all. Anyway, I'd rather him gone and out of our hands now. Time to move on and in retrospect we'll look back at the situation and learn from it.

You mean 2moro? Yeah, I'd skip around like a loon if he did
-
I hope he does because hes extremely valuable to the team
-
I'm a bit sickened at letting him go for free but thats life. One person I don't blame at all for this is Luque himself. I blame Roeder who never picked him, even playing fucking Fattison in front of him. I won't cry a river but I actually feel sorry for the guy as he was never given a proper chance, a run in the team longer than 5 games. Either way, its history now and Big Sam would never have treated a player like that. Time to move on and get behind the new-look Newcastle

RIP Ray Jones. Tragic way to go

Jesus christ james, get a grip.

Exactly. As long as theres people with a bit of common sense, patience and ability to see the bigger picture then they'll mostly keep the doom mongers at bay. We'll need plenty of those kinds of people on this forum to remain positive over the season, fingers crossed the fickle few don't get the better of a potentially fantastic future ahead of us

So Barcelona have a player worse than Stephen Carr at something with regard to football? Hmm. Of course, Andy Hunter knows everything innit. Really hope we pull this transfer off personally because he could in theory play on the wing as well as right back which again brings so much versatility. You don't get in the current Barcelona by being a total mug. We need a now player, not so much a future player who will come good in a few years time. We can get a youngster anytime. This possible signing, along with Faye, would sort out our defence completely and the only position we may need at some point is a creative midfielder but I feel thats a luxury right now as we've got in some high quality players this summer. We've not even seen Enrique, Cacapa or Barton yet :icon_biggrin:

If Rozehnal's shot had went in I would've gone nuts, good save from a cracking shot! That would've changed it all but I'm happy really, its steady progress and positive things can taken from the game BRING ON THE BORO

After 2 matches? I'm sure he's listening.
