  1. was the challenge on ritchie that bad like? assume there was no red
  2. chance to kick a fellow relegation rival when they're down, at home? 0-3
  3. i mean neymar, messi, griezemann is surely about the best strikeforce around like? unless neymar doesn't want to be a footballer anymore obvs
  4. read think someone said be careful on posting links from the althletic in their thread which is why no one will have posted it probs was a nice read
  5. Having watched Griezmann, C Perez and Fati all play very well at the weekend - I don't understand the need for Neymar - unless its Messi who wants him Yeah, we don't need another forward. Rather we give the playing time to Dembelé, of which I really have doubts about, but his potential is undeniable. Fati looked really promising, too. The only thing I'd sign is a Rakitic replacement, since his legs are starting to go. His mix of talent/workrate has been key these years. so why are they going mental for it?
  6. same, you'd think barca have all the cards here unless they're that afraid of him going to real for some fucking reason
  7. How can an owner be a secured creditor and hold his own company hostage like that? I understand similar arrangement existed for the Bury owner Dale as well? Sounds illegal. this is england, they're not poor so they can do whatever the fuck they want basically
  8. i was honestly shocked by the standard and consistency of the goals during the highlights i watched, was incredible Hartlepool and Harrogate both quite close to you aren't they? aye, hartlepool closer, i just don't know if i could go and follow another team tbh
  9. i was honestly shocked by the standard and consistency of the goals during the highlights i watched, was incredible
  10. tell you what, i left BT Sports on the other night and they played the highlights from the vanarama league somethignorother and it looked totally fucking class, some of the goals were outrageously good for the level briefly considered going but i just don't have any connection to any of the teams down there
  11. correct, but they chose not to give a fuck and here we are they have a captive audience so there's no benefit in them doing anything to protect the clubs, i don't think the brand thing applies tbph
  12. reminds me of the pervert that was in charge of our school team, his only tactical input during games was SWITCH IT didn't matter where you were on the pitch or what was going on, SWIIIIIIITCH IT
  13. yes, that’s the bit you should focus on instead of the topic at hand. Wrongthink must be called out in every forum (and thread)! Settle down, comrade. well depending on your interpretation of events the future of bury has been left to the market, you should be all for it no? or do we implement "regulatory frameworks" to stop SME's going to the wall as well
  14. How about implementing a proper fit and proper persons test? How about instead of postponing games which would gain clubs like Bolton and Bury income, they let them play those games? How about as part of FFP, if your club is showing sings of financial difficulty then an administrator by the league is ordered to take control of the football club until the club is a better situation? How about there is a better trickle down of money to other clubs? How about instead of just sitting on the sidelines when their members go to the wall, they actually do something to prevent it. Both the FA and EFL have stood and watched what has happened at Bolton and Bury and let it happen. The EFL have actively taken action that would hinder both clubs from being rescued. feels like at the very least they should have a contingency fund in place to help out clubs from going bust, players and staff not getting paid etc. I agree for that in terms of players getting paid etc. But football clubs already have ridiculously favorable terms when they go into admin compared if I had a business that went bust. If you make it impossible for clubs to not go bust, it'll encourage mismanagement even more. aye i mean you can't have a fund that literally prevents clubs going bust but considering the obscene wealth in the game there should absolutely be some fallback setup to protect club employees and players from the whims of these wanker millionairres taking the piss
  15. probably and apparently messi wants him back too. God only knows how they can afford it since they bought Griezmann for over €100m as well they can't can they, think that's why it hasn't happened yet you'd think if they throw dembele in or something PSG might go for it with cash griezzman messi neymar front three, IDK how that works
  16. don't really get what barca are thinking, has that been explained? is it just marketing?
  17. are they counting people that fly over it in planes on the way to NCL
  18. He did something similar in the first game against Arsenal where he shifted the ball quickly with his right then got the shot off with his left. I thought he looked very confident on the finish as well, makes me think he might score a few this season. Just get the ball into his feet on the deck rather than launching long balls towards his head, and he will do fine I reckon. yeah that was evident to me, that he looked fine when he had to battle for control with a low ball he was more than willing to fight and more than capable of doing well....being andy carroll can't be for everyone
  19. this is the truth of it, he's playing in a team where scoring opportunities are few and far between if you dropped him into spurs team ahead of son or lucas i don't think he'd look out of place and the goals and assists would come we're very lucky to have him
  20. this is the main issue with it at the moment isn't it, implementation i mean that man city goal that was disallowed, for example, was not a clear and obvious error but they decided to act on it That’s because of the handball part of the law, So in essence it was a clear error as the referee didn’t see it clear and obvious is the wording, the touch with his arm was barely perceptible with VAR never mind for the ref it was bullshit I’m not saying it was right but I guess with the new law you could say it obviously hit his arm, on a replay but the "obvious" part is to correct an obvious mistake, which that was not
  21. early dilemma for him with all the injuries/returnees and striking a balance between being seen to try and win the game
  22. yeah i was wondering what the criteria is for "proved" there like imo he inherited a decent squad and setup, he'll have "proved himself" if after 3 seasons we're still in the PL basically
  23. i don't think there's a coach around who could make that work tbh, you'd need crazy amounts of pace and quality around him for it to amount to anything that loon was in the almiron thread saying he's a luxury we can't afford, basically defines shelvey
  24. has he ever fit in any setup for very long?
