Who the fuck connects sports shit with shit like this? It's a fucking logo. You going to war with Sunderland? You putting armor on for the match tomorrow? Crests are historical and often based on local shit. Logos are franchises based on what looks cool and communicates well to the customer. Pretty basic disctinction.

A logo needs to tell us something, so it's usually the company name and no caption. i.e. Samsung, Virgin Money, LG etc etc. A crest is basically a Coat of Arms.
