  1. Pedestrian start from the forum as well. 6 mins in and barely done with one page.
  2. http://i2.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/004/592/my-brain-is-full-of-fuck.jpg Honestly don't get why most people on here seem to expect us to put out a first choice 11 for every. single. game. we play in any competition. Fuck that shit. At home we'll likely see some of our better players in the starting eleven. Away our fringe players will most likely feature a lot more. It doesn't mean we don't take the competition seriously. It just means we're rotating players because we have a fuckton of games. We have too few fringe players of decent quality, sure, but it doesn't mean we should push the likes of Demba Ba into every fucking match. These "shit" players drew away, and with some luck could've won quite comfortably. I'm not worried. Luck was not on our side today, so be it. A point away is still good in this competition. If this was the last 16 and we'd be facing Atletico Madrid or something, I highly doubt we'd not take it seriously and field the best side possible. Team selection is about the level of opposition as well, and as I just mentioned, with some luck the team put out today should've won. Liverpool switched their entire first XI from their last match FFS. Squad rotation. It's what football teams do when they have a lot of games over a short period of time. That's why teams don't just have 11 players. Fuck this shit.
  3. A point away in the group stages is more than enough. If our fringe players can do that it's fully understandable that there's some shuffling amongst players. All teams do it. Really don't get that attitude unless we start doing it in the late knock-out stages and the likes. Wait until Man Utd next week. The League Cup

  5. A point away ain't bad. Should've deffo won that though. Ameobi should've won it for us, twice. Bigi was impressive. Ameobi had two decent runs and som cock-ups. Gosling was invisible again. Santon is good. Elliot wasn't as bad as people on here have made him out to be.

    Shola Ameobi

Trying to get credit for a title change.
  8. My main issue in general is how the media and pundits faff all over how Everton were fucked over when the refs fucked us up a bit as well. It's just more media friendly to say a team was robbed and then do the edits based on that. I, for one, do love a smash and grab once in a while though. And it being against Everton makes it somewhat sweeter.
  9. Personally I don't think he fucked too badly up for their second. Clearly expected a shot in the near corner where he was standing, as evident by his weight being on the "wrong" foot for the eventual shot, which in turn made him look a complete fucktard not moving after the ball at all. First one was pretty bad, though.
  10. I honestly can't believe that with two fucking weeks to fill that shit out I managed to not do it in time.
  11. Loved the fighting spirits of the players in the second half. The first few matches had me worried it was gone, I feel relieved, happy and all kinds of excited now.
  12. Penalty in added time of added time to take all three points. I like it.
  13. It's not like. Watching it at least, it is generally a very poor substitute for the top European leagues. I do quite like following the results though (seeing who is likely to qualify etc) and occasionally betting on it. My opinion is fluctuating from the result in the Norway, match, man. It's shit in general, though, yeah.
  14. International football is kinda decent.
  15. One good thing I have spotted is how more American kids are scouted and brought into European youth setups. We have this kid in ours, Ben Lederman, who actually oozes class (although I'm always cautious about players impressing at such young ages). There was also talk about a couple more yanks joining... so american players are gaining recognition. Big day when Lederman signed for Barca. Huge for American soccer. As I said it's still a bit too early, but the boy's touch and composure on the ball is sublime for a kid his age. If he develops properly he'll be a huge asset for the USMNT in 10 years. I wouldn't mind giving him a call-up at 14 and get him cap-tied (can you be cap-tied under 18?) But seriously, I could see U.S. Soccer calling him up way too early and completely screwing up his development (ala Freddy Adu). You can, but only by playing in an official qualifying match/official tournament. At least I think so.
  16. Fucking Iceland. Bogey team x 1000 for Norway. Insane how piss poor we always play against them no matter how piss poor they are themselves. On a side note, Joshua King looked like a fucking beast.

This. Really don't get why he doesn't even appear to train with the first team. Tom! Where ya been, blood? Working, mostly! Then combined with some studies and retaining an active social life, it leaves precious little spare time.
