I remember full games would pass by without me seeing him actually do anything, he was way beyond the level you'd expect for a premier league footballer, did somehow manage to get us 3 goals but i doubt many will remember he even played for us in a few years.

Much more exciting game happening in the Saudi Pro league, Mitro scored a hatrick and Al Hilal came back from 3-1 down to lead Benzema/Kante and co's al Ittihad 4-3

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)
Newcastle Fan replied to Marko NUFC's topic in Football
Honestly happy with that, some class games and a proper champions league experience. its already looking like this will be such a tough season but it will be a fantastic benchmark to where we are compared to the biggest teams in the world and might give the owners a good indication about what we need to do if we are to get to the top. -
Villa, Brighton, West Ham, Chelsea (although they went bonkers they still go their targets at the end)
-
It does seem like we haven't done as well as others in this transfer market, we still have positions that we need to improve on yet we went and signed youngsters with potential.
-
Don't think he's done much wrong watching the video but i also don't remember the last time we had a season that did not include Lascelles punching someone.
-
One fucking player to mark and he let him go.
-
We will continue to pay the price for having him in the team and not replacing him, he is not at the level we are right now.
-
What a fucking shit footballer miggy is.
-
We've had far worse signings, he was a squad player and had some contributions here and there, happy for him to be moved on though.
-
And it is them who will ultimately be accountable for how the team preform, our owners want us to be there amongst the very best and hopefully we will be , but signing a lot of youngsters sometimes mean it takes longer to see the results.
-
Someone like Diaby to cover the right wing, players some champions league/international football experience, surely if Villa can afford him we can too?
-
Not fully satisfied with this window myself, we are playing at a very high level this season and aside from Tonali we've signed players with no experience of playing at the highest levels, good prospects and good lads but we should've aimed higher, keeping Almiron/Murphy as our main choices at RW in the champions league might prove to be something we regret.
-
They are not far off, just less than a year ago they beat eventual world cup winners Argentina at the WC and both their national team and local talents are improving fast.
-
They want their league to be a top 5 league in no time, to be fair i watched a couple of matches this season and it was more exciting than a lot of other leagues
-
Why are we so bad at getting rid of players, literally paying people to take them off us.
-
City did so well passing the ball around him and avoiding going head to head, he was hardly involved in the game which says something.
-
Possibly the best value for money signing we ever made.
-
I can't help but feel we really missed a chance with not getting Diaby when the chance was there.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Really good when he came on, it should be him first then Longstaff going forward. -
Toughest game he'll have all season and he did well in it, looking forward to see him next week.
-
We gave them far too much respect and didn't really look convinced we could get something out of it, Howe and his team will need to learn to manage such occasions better.
-
It was so obvious since last season that he's one of the main players we need to upgrade from going forward, yet we spent our window buying players in other positions and then having to play a right back to replace him while chasing the game at the Ettihad, we did well getting Tonali but a LB and a RM were the absolute top priorities after that.
