Says literally nothing.

The Watford fans all wanted him gone, that's good enough for me. I think they know better than us, just like we knew better than the "but he got you fifth" brigade.

After everyone saying we were mental to want shot of Pardew, I'm a big believer of seeing what the people who watch a team every week think. Just had a look through a Watford forum. Basically, the team's been shit for the second half of the season, but he refuses to change things and doesn't pick his team on merit. They lose to Liverpool and nearly get beat off Villa, but he doesn't make any changes. It's just the same week in, week out. Couple of quotes:
-
It all depends who they've got lined up. Southampton binning Adkins seemed mental at the time, and look how that turned out for them.
-
If Rafa stays, it'll also be a big statement of intent. We'll find it much easier to sign/keep hold of players than if we just appointed a Neil Warnock.
-
Chelsea (on a short term contract) is a very different kettle of fish to Everton. I don't think he'd take the job (or even be offered it).
-
Everyone keeps saying this, and I can't see it at all. He's the sort of guy who really buys into and understands a club, and likes to connect with the fans. It just seems completely out of character.

The same people own Udinese, Watford and Granada.
-
The Wenger situation reminds me of when Pardew was here. No matter what the fans thing, as long as he keeps doing the bare minimum*, the board aren't going to dump him. *Obviously Arsenal's idea of the bare minimum is very different to Ashley's.

The one thing you need in the Championship is a little bit of quality, the standard's generally crap. Our current squad of bottlers would walk it.

Do you genuinely believe we won't ask him to take a wage cut? He'll be on what, 2 million a year? He's our best chance at coming straight up, that's peanuts compared to the money we'll get if we're promoted. But it's Charnley, so probably.

Everyone has exactly the same rights and reasons to complain if they want to. Just because you don't go to the games (and I have only been to a few this season myself - both through lack of interest, other more important things to do etc) it does not automatically give you more right to complain. Just because you feel like you're doing something to "make a stand". The whole argument is so fucking high and mighty man. It's embarrassing. I didn't want to pack in my season ticket and sacrifice ten years worth of loyalty points, I did it because it was the right thing to do, because funding Mike Ashley is damaging to Newcastle United. How the fuck is it "high and mighty" to believe that people who keep paying top dollar for a shit product (that they know is shit and which admits its ambition is to be shit) can't complain when they receive a shit product? But again thats you're opinion, people have differing opinions, for some people it might not be as easy, they've supported a team since birth, and they want to continue to do that, they want to go to the game and support the team. It's not simply a product to them, it's something people have a connection to, that they hold dear to there heart, so they go to the game with the hope so seeing something memorable, that they can tell there kids one day. That's what a team should be, that's what this club used to be to all of us. But it absolutely is a product now, and that's because Ashley's turned it into one.

Certs to go down next season now they don't get to play us.
-
This will have all been decided ages ago. He knew relegation was a possibility when he joined, and he'd have already decided what he'd do if it happened.
-
Anyone got Ashley's address? I want to send him my CV*. I've got as much experience as Charnley and will do the job for half of what he did. *some anthrax
-
Hope we force him to stay out of spite, just to ruin his career.
-
Can't wait for this.
-
Hope he gets terminal gout.
-
He's finished at the top level. He was given an amazing opportunity and couldn't have made a bigger mess of it. We'll come back up one day. He won't.
-
He's probably the best manager we've ever had. Of course he'll be replaced with someone worse.
-
Why even bother working this out? We're down.
-
That's true when betting trends are probably down to insider info (eg transfers, new managers) but not in the case of matches. Those odds are determined by who the bookie thinks is going to win.

"I have had difficulty with players before, none more than Hatem Ben Arfa at Newcastle. If I can deal with him, I can deal with Adebayor" Good job Pards!
