  1. Hasn't changed. We will most likely stay up.
  2. Yes, It will depend on his backing, which from all accounts should be a large treasure chest, and his knowledge of who's out there.
  3. Love the optimism. Just found out its being shown Down Under I think if we get Owen properly involved in both halves we'll nick it. Though without his pace it seems we might have to put it on a plate for him, but he can still bang em in. Also Milner HAS to get his crosses on target 1-2 Adebayor, Owen... Smith :clap2:
  4. That's better than the disappointment of being told we've missed out on players after having our hopes built up. Aye, but that rarely happens, we all have pessimistic hopes of who we will actaully sign
  5. It's the long wait before hand than gets to me...
  6. That must have been a bliss moment of almost-thought.
  7. Faye and Cacapa. Taylor next in line.
  8. Big rebuilding job, not a total overhaul but half of the first-team to really get somewhere imo. Perhaps in past seasons we may have gone down with our current lot, but its unlikely with so many teams below us in a worse position that we will this season. Those who think we are safe already are a bit too optimistic imo, and those who think we are going to get in a dogfight are banking on the smaller percentages.
  9. Ok result. Atleast Keegan will have no illusions as to what the squad needs. When Bolton play boring "anti-football" you really need a strong midfield which, understandably, we didnt have. Carr should stop shooting. Enrique is improving, though still expects to much time on the ball. Milner, you can't fault his ball control and work-rate, but for a winger his crosses are consistently p*ss-poor. There wasn't a lot in the centre to be fair but if he's going to stay in the first-team thats what he needs to fix. Hopefully we get say 2 players in before the window shuts. KK has the right idea, theres no point getting in more squad players, we need proper first teamers that are going to improve performances.

    Kevin Keegan

Holy S*** I woke up to look at the Stoke result on the Official site, I look down and bloody heck, its KK's photo, I had to refresh the page before I dared to click the link. I'm a bit worried about the whole thing, but can't help but be pleased...
  11. I think anyone who considers us "safe from the drop" when the Mackems are only 6 points behind and we still have to go to Arsenal and Liverpool, and play Man U/Chelsea at SJP would be counting their chickens. blueyes.gif
  12. First half was ok but we really needed to convert one of those oppurtunities. That short pass to Martins, for a 10+ million pound striker, should have been a goal. It isnt an excuse but seriously we had no luck again, that Duff "offside" was changed from a potential red or goal scoring oppurtunity to a Man city goal all because of the linesmans call. Then the Elano tackle would have been a Red Card on a lot of other days imo. So 2 pivotal moments went against us, just like the Chelsea offside. I'm not saying we would have won if they had of gone with us, but decsions like that play a massive part. Second half was pretty poor, if only if only Owens shot had of dribbled in..... The players have no confidence and we seem short of ideas at all levels.

    The Mole?

I have no idea but this made an anagram Foluwashola Ameobi - Whoa! A foul bias, Mole. It makes sense from his point of view, the foul bias being Sam not picking him.
  14. We were robbed by an absolutely SH*T decision. Sure they might have scored on other chances on another day, but today came down to that imo. The Roz - Smith sub was necessary (severe concussion on official site) and positive because it allowed Zog to,finally, roam more up field. The Duff - Dukes sub was understandable but the Owen one left a bit to be desired. I don't think it soley cost us the match by any means; the players in the last 10-20 minutes were running on empty, see Faye. A point or not, that match must surely be seen as progress and a positive performance. The players performed and Allardyce showed some improvement.
  15. Have you read the article? I have and can't see whats really wrong with his comments...
  16. I doubt .com would be in the windup and they are carrying what looks to be a quote. Yeah, it just seems so wrong i wasn't sure... No point being blasted for getting it wrong
  17. Can only hope you're on a wind-up mate. If he's actually said the part in bold then that's absolutely appalling. You're right like, not just the bit in bold either, the whole statement is bang out of order, for so many reasons. Aye, if he really has said he must have lost the players, or he soon will with comments like that.
  18. Dunno. It's not intentional windup. Just off .com site. Which may well be a windup
  19. Not sure if this has been quoted here or elsewhere...

    Yes or No?

I don't think its that fact we're coming 9th thats worrying people. I seem to remember a poll a while ago where many people were happy with a top 10 finish. The problem is that if we keep playing as we have in the last few games we're gonna be lucky to get 17th.
  21. The classic rope-a-dope. and then win it with our superior fitness
  22. We are f***** anyway. Allardyce has been s**** since he came, no matter how people try to defend him. I reckon he wants out with his big pay-off - £5m+ Is a possiblity... but surely not
  23. Something is going on here. I just simply dont see how a team of such talented players can play such utter sh*te, is it them or what they're being told???
