  1. One of my (glory hunting Man U) friends put violin music on his ipod touch and played it as he walked towards me the next morning and then said ''haha ur shit u got relegated, enjoy the Championship and we'll enjoy eing Champions''.
  2. Gutted, ive been able to watch 30+ games this season albeit at 2am, in the CCC we might get shown like twice in a year over here, talking football with people is hard enough as it is, who the fuck knows who Blackpool are in Australia. From the clubs perspective i suppose we can rebuild, but we could have done that in the prem aswell...
  3. Martins goal against boro. I heard the whistle as it went in, everyone else in the room jumped up and ive just sat there swearing at the ref, took a sec for them to realise i wasn't daft.
  4. In Australia at 2am on my couch, hoping that all the gloryhunters over here wont be able to rub shit in the next day.

    Howard Webb

Ridiculous decision, sure its all about the whole season, but at that moment in time if that goal had been rightfully awarded we would most likely be in a far, far superior position, as it is now we're 50/50 for avoiding relegation at best. IF we go down he'll be one of the key people i'll blame.

9 to a 5. I think we now have a 50% chance of staying up, the team must use the momentum going into this weekend, i can see Bolton not giving a damn and handing it over to Hull so 3 points is a must and is what i think will see us safe, Hull and the mackems wont go above 37 most likely.

    Joey Barton

The commentator's after the incident were making out that they didnt even think it was a card, then by the end of the match they said 'you couldnt argue with the decision' or something to that end.

    Joey Barton

bit in bold is the only bit i disagree with, barton is patently as thick as shit and a total cunt as well approach it from nothing other than the pov of NUFC - we've been crying out for him to come back for the run in and he flies in when the game is over and in a needless area knowing full well his reputation and what the reaction of the kop would be if that's not the behaviour of a thick cunt i don't know what is Can't argue with that, but for the bit above whats in bold i dont know enough about him to say he's 'thick as shit' but his actions on the football field do give an horrendus impression, i do think he genuiely regretted it straight after and there wasnt alot of anger as such but thats far to late, there shouldnt have been the tackle in the first place.

    Joey Barton

On first viewing of the incident it looked awful, from the ref's angle it was defintely not just a foul, but seeing the incident again i dont think there was any bad intent there and he did make decent contact with the ball; but yes bad tackle we get it yeh. As soon as he did it he knew what was coming, even on one of the earlier tackles in the game as soon as it went wrong he jumped up and tried to make amends, i dont think a red would have been given if it had of been any other player on the pitch (that wasnt already on a yellow). But his track record it atrocious, so wanting him transferred is understandable and with an equally able replacement i wouldnt think twice about it, but insulting him is just unwarrented and needless.

I'm now a 9, 10% chance. I wont be 10 unless it becomes mathematically impossible, though the sentiments are shared, we're pretty doomed unless theres some sort of miraculous recovery next week.

7 to an 8 now, all 3 strikers had an oppurtunity they should, and i would expect normally, would score and we came up with none. Anyone who has 10 (or more ), its a bit like saying i have a 10 sided dice, the number 1 represents us staying up, and there is 0% chance of that occurring...
  12. We CANNOT afford to get beaten by a large number of goals, our goal difference is currently 'worth a point', and we need every advantage we can get at the moment.
  13. This. Still, atleast it might give the squad some time to get players fit, get a system that actually works, and show Shearer who should be in the XI and those who shouldn't. If Owen must play then its gotta be the KK system or some other miraculous system so he gets service. I think Shearer wants to start Viduka and Martins (and i think Guthrie was injured recently), but their fitness coupld prevent that from occuring. If SJP was like the Brittannia was last weekend a result is so much more likely, a cauldron of noise whether the play is good or not and jeering the Pompey team could be the boost needed, whether the team in everyones eyes deserve that kinda support or not is up to you, but I don't want to be not watching (we'll get shit all coverage where i am) Championship football next season, so do it for yourselves if noone else lol.
  14. Really depressing to watch. The players shouldnt be standing off spurs, continually they were allowed space to run into and loads of time, for a team like they are its the totally wrong tactic, if teams hassle them and dont give them time on the ball they often crumple (which is what they did to us, we had no time in possession and rarely did our plays build to anything noteworthy, there was no continuity). I would have thought that Shearer would have seen the 3 at the back didnt really work last week, but he indicated in one interview he thought it did... Was disapointing Guthrie, Martins and Viduka didnt start but i thought all three had injury problems or were coming back from them. Maybe Guthrie was due to come on but Taylors sub meant that the best two dice rolls were Martins and Viduka. It seems a general apathy towards that latter builds up every time he is out (most of the time) but when he returns we're all reminded of his quality, he had a noticable impact and rarely looses the ball, but i doubt he would last 90 minutes at this stage. In any decent team Owen would be an asset on the pitch but due to the complete and utter lack of service for the majority of the season he just goes missing, but to his credit he does drop back and try to bring it up, but he cant be two places at once. The main problem has to be the seen as the midfield, its hopeless, Butt and Nolan tackle well granted but they give nothing going forward 90% of the time, Barton (even unfit) and Guthrie have to be given a go. We need atleast 7 points, but as said are we really going to win 2/3 home games when we've won 4 all season... The points from todays game werent a MUST WIN but i fear the mentality a win would have given, which is needed to move forward and win the home games, was. Its gonna take a minor miracle to get this mob playing the football they need to now. I think the desire is there for most of them but its mixed with a lack of confidence etc which is draining away any chance of playing reasonable football.

    Aussie Mags?

Coverage here is fantastic. Almost every league game is shown for the season, they have to miss a couple as they can't show every one. If games are played simultaneously then "Sports Active" lets you pick which one you want to watch, theres up to 5 live at once, 9 games per round normally, with a massive telly you could watch all four at once . You'll need Foxtel in the city or Austar in the country, being the satellite providers. There's a 1 hr highlights show every round if you don't wanna watch it at 12 or 2am.
  16. 1. 'Toon Toon' chant after the Blaydon Races against the mackems. 2. Owens header 3. The rehersal of the Blaydon races when the stadium was empty, neck tingling moment.
  17. I'm not flying half way across the world to watch us lose against the scum. 3-1
  18. We dont have the pace to catch em on the break unless Oba plays. Just seen this statistic, dunno if it has been posted: Speaks for itself really. I did that predictor thing and being pessimistic got us 3 points above the drop on 35 points, but if we lose to Reading or the mackems its a totally different story, our goal difference is pretty bad too. Hate being pessimistic but unless we get some good fortune i'm not confident we are going to get points in the crucial games. ie Fulham, Sunderland, Reading.
  19. Beye, Enrique, Taylor, N'Zogbia, Duff, Owen, Barton, Faye, Emre Make a poll...

    Conspiracy theory

Tbf there has been a pretty shocking run of poor luck and decisions in the past few rounds. But other than that...
  21. Yes its a possibilty we are going to get in a dogfight, but so many posters are acting like it is already a reality. A loss on Sunday could make it a reality... But it hasnt happened yet!
  22. They should put Lawro's predictions on IKTS and see where he ranks at the end of the season. Would be a fair way to see if he deserves his 'football expert' status.
  23. It wasn't that long ago - around the time of the last WC i think - when many members on this forum dismissed Adebayor as being 'a glorified version of Ameobi'. absolutely true. The same with Drogba when started for Chelsea. People need to be more patient when it comes to African players. That's why I still got hope for Martins to shine under good influence (KK)... ] Yes, he has loads of potential and abiltiy, but so far has not used them to his advantage enough. If he can develop some more brains on the pitch with good positioning, using his speed, making runs behind the defence etc and get some consistency he could be lethal. It's a lot of IF's but he scored well in his first season, he could easily improve that tally imo.
