  1. Sunderland (5 points from anybody). These next few games are massive for them. Hope to god we get rid of this lot for many a season.
  2. Must stick in their throats that we've got a disinterested owner and are still doing ok, almost by accident even. Meanwhile, down the road good money has been spent and managers have come and gone as they strive and fail to get it right.
  3. http://www.footballgroundmap.com/scoreboard82 I bet if you clicked the 'latest user' link at the bottom of the page, it would have been full of toon fans a couple of days ago with the glut of NO posters. I've added my best game etc at the bottom too. Probably covered it on here i know, but i thought why not?
  4. Like the quote that says "Hope he doesn't ref our games anymore". Don't worry marra. Kevin Friend doesn't get many championship games. Even an average of a point a game would only get them 33 pts and probably not enough now.
  5. Weren't moaning about the ref in the derby when they got that dodgy free kick for the winner.
  6. Sure i read that IF they get through and play Wrexham away next round, that will also be live. Thought about going v Oxford. Certainly cheap enough. Just too easy to stay in the warmth and watch it on the box. For that reason i'm out.
  7. Advance tickets only a fiver for the Oxford replay.
  8. On the screen, they flashed tweets with #WWENewcastle and a couple had 2-1 in them. Monumentally sad b******s. Jesus Christ. The irony that they've had to come to newcastle to watch the event they are at clearly lost on them. They really are f***ing bottom feeders. It's the biggest indictment of Pardews reign that these c***s have any bragging rights at all those inventive, wacky mackems eh. When they sing 'If you hate Newcastle clap your hands' at their games, I always think of 'If you hate Newcastle, divvent gan'. Hate Newcastle so much that they spend half of their lives there.
  9. was that linesman Lee Probert, who overruled his linesman v the mackems, leading up to their unjust winner? Growing to dislike this man a lot if so.
  10. my thoughts exactly. Didn't even merit a mention in their opinion. If that had been the other way round, they'd be saying how the nufc player should get an umpteen game ban and play the incident on repeat for 10 mins.
  11. We'd generate more income if NUFC fans had confidence in the owner. A lot of fans don't want to spend money at SJP on matchday on food/drink etc, because they begrudge giving Ashley any other money than the cost of watching the team. Same applies to club clothing/souvenirs. I for one think twice about buying stuff from the club shop these days. If we were content with the way the club was being ran and we could have some pride in the club, we'd be encouraged to spend more.
  12. Great memories. Remember the old gallowgate vividly. Passing the 'Keegans' hot dog stands at the entrance to the turnstiles, then the meandering climb up those stairs, before the lush green pitch appeared in front of you. Was always the scoreboard for me like, hence my forum name.
  13. We've done things the Newcastle way. Getting points from games we least expect to, and losing games we think we shouldn't. A couple of encouraging performances though. Ones that would make any other owner think we should build on that potential, unfortunately not ours i fear.
  14. Great one, I used to love it. Especially when it didn't have the final score in! Good one that. An alternative was crowding round the window of the electrical shop on Blackett St to see the final scores on the tele's.

    Season Tickets

Yeah, mine just said adult As long as she's paid the right amount for it? She certainly won't have any bother getting in. got in no bother. Think they're just going to alter the DD payments accordingly. Said they'd send out a new schedule.

    Season Tickets

My daughter handed in her season ticket yesterday in order to get a cheaper one for becoming a student. She expected to pick up a replacement today, but the one she picked up still says adult in the category bit, in fact it may even be the same one. Anyone..Mary perhaps..know if it should look any different, or do they just update records and give you the same card back for the rest of the season?
  17. The Chronicle has a big influence on the people in the area. The ban could back fire on the club after it has stoked up more anti regime feeling.
  18. So wish I hadn't started reading about this fixture. Adrenalines going already and I'll not sleep now. Hate these games. Safc are awful, and on current form we shouldn't have any problems, but this is nufc we're talking about. Hope the mackems hurry on to the championship and we don't have to encounter them for a bit.
  19. aye, a tighter ground without the running track would be more appealing.
  20. aye 80-83, only got caught in the carols once and lived to tell. 81-84 for me. Happy days. I had a quieter introduction to early away games than yourself I reckon, as most of my games were on the 'magpie' travel coaches. Still exciting in those early days though. I remember losing 2-0 to Carlisle in that 1st away game and still being happy just because it was my 1st away game.
  21. Ah...memories. West house and Westerhope maid marion shop. Am i right in saying, like me, you went to West Denton school Madras? As for the game, i wasn't there and it was just before my 1st away game at Carlisle that November. I remember watching MOTD though and the toon fans were magnificent. As there were generally only 2/3 games featured on MOTD those days, it was a big night when NUFC were featured. More so because we weren't in the top flight.
  22. Can't remember who it was mentioned t'other day but tickets against the big 2 in Spain regular start at €80+ and are sometimes excluded from STs. Aye. I was in Majorca once and went to the stadium with the intention of watching them v Barcelona. Turned around and came back when i found out it was so expensive.
  23. With regard to our commercial failure, I think some of that is down to many fans being reluctant to put money into the club by spending on official merchandise. A form of protest. If we were successful and had someone running the club we could trust, replica shirts etc would fly off the shelves.
  24. Done 3 malaga games while on hol in benalmadena. Always much cheaper than the EPL. Loads of ex pats go. Went to Barcelona v villareal last season. €55 up in the gods. Poor atmosphere. Probably like the way SJP is quieter v the so called unfashionable sides. Had a look at espanyols ground but didn't see a game unfortunately. Looks a decent new stadium though.
  25. If poyet does get the job, I hope he is less successful against us than he has been in the past. Always seems to get one over on us. Remember his winner for Chelsea in the fa cup semi? And he's beaten us as Brighton boss twice too. It's time the tables were turned.
