  1. As low as I've ever felt after any match after that Blackburn loss.
  2. I thought we were the ones boycotting games. Looks like the mackems have joined in. They'll be saying what a super following they've got when it comes to league cup final day too.
  3. is it excitement though? Certainly is in the cup but more like stress in the league imo. I found the threat of the drop stressful when we were down there last season. Some of their rivals down there have strengthened well. Zaha at Cardiff, ince and ledley at palace. Carrols coming back for w ham. Hope they're deep in it after these hard away games. The pressure will be cranked up massively.
  4. aye, that's football I'm afraid. We milked it when we beat them 4-1 and 5-1 not too long ago, and when we were in the champions league while they were in the championship. They should have a cautious glance at the league table and proximity to the relegation zone before mouthing off too much though.
  5. I know what you're saying in that we're simply existing at the moment, but one of the things you mentioned was other clubs trying to avoid relegation. Would you really be happier if we were in a relegation scrap? Last seasons stress was awful. I get your point though. I'm envious of any club whose owners just want the best for their club and at least try and succeed, even lower league clubs.
  6. I've checked with Mr Joannou's records, and he did not. (How sad am I?) I wouldn't worry about being sad. I was looking it up myself. Just couldn't find it that's all.
  7. It would be interesting to know what brought this on. He'll have been forced out I reckon, too stubborn to resign otherwise. Not getting too excited incase we bring in another footballing nobody. There was a mention of Lambias coming back on SSN. No one could be as bad as Kinnear. One of the worst men ever to be associated with this club.
  8. Not 100% but i think Febs' payment is the last one for this season and March payment is the 1st for next season. Whatever they take after Feb is paying for next season, so if you want to get out, do it ASAP.
  9. Very sad. Frightening to think he wasn't much older than myself. As hard as the derby defeat was, this puts some perspective on it. i was young during his playing days. Don't remember much about his actual play, but remember him being in the side. He might of played in the NYD 3-1 win v the mackems in 1980. Not sure though.
  10. Hopefully they'll get nothing more than a day out at Wembley. We've had days out all over Europe. That's football. Should lose heavily against city but I wouldn't bet against the mackems.
  11. I got an email advertising the next fans united meeting. Starts half an hour before the youth cup game, across the road at the irish club. Not timed very well imo.
  12. reading the last line there, we hope it's not a repeat of last seasons fixture too. Certainly on the pitch.
  13. Don't know how they haven't had a hiding given how bad they are. Still got to visit chelsea, Liverpool and the 2 manc teams so I think that day will come. Hopefully at SJP.
  14. I watched soccer extra too. They showed it from the same angle as motd that proves nothing. I'm yet to see a camera angle that was looking along the line and remain unconvinced. The lino was looking along the line. The ball was travelling quickly and I don't think the lino could be sure enough to say it was over. What gets me is the likes of Savage on motd sounding so sure it was out without anything to back that up.
  15. I'm not happy with these pundits claiming the ball went out before HBAs' cross for our 2nd. None have which have been backed up by a camera angle looking along the line. The lino has to be sure it's crossed the line or he can't give it. I bet had this been subject of the new, goal line technology it would have been proved not to have crossed the line. Stoke were looking quite comfortable before the sending offs but wasted all their good work.
  16. Fletcher is injury prone but probably their best player imo. Very sensible decision to speed up relegation! Then again Hippo Heed might be stuck with two crocks in Carroll and Fletcher meaning they might go down too! All very amusing watching from our lofty position! Big drinker according to my wolves mates. Must have been p**sed to sign for them. The only thing that stops me from believing they'll go down is that it would seem too good to be true. They are awful and i hope we give them the pasting they deserve in Feb to help them on their way.
  17. Aye. I'll never forget that long march back from the ground with that being sung the whole way. I like the gonna win f**k all again, we still follow united song. Sums us up really and i like the defiance of it.
  18. I'm guessing she's got gingery hair in a ponytail? I've had an ongoing issue with the box office of late, in which she's had a big hand. I'd rather not go into the details of my case incase a box office staff member reads it. However, if we're talking about the same woman, she almost tries to make you feel like you're in the wrong somehow for things that are down to their mistakes/ failings. Southern accent? I've had dealings with her before and wanted to punch her in the teeth. She's intolerable. That's the one. Maybe it's just the way she comes across and she's genuinely trying to help. Maybe the pressure gets to her? She does seem to have an overly bossy manner though.

  20. good site that. Like the clip of sjp with the floodlight pylons that could be seen for miles.
  21. We've still not sunk to the depths of the 3rd tier in our history, as they did in the 80s.
  22. Not a fan of either club, but leeds' "marching on together" and Sheffield utds' version of "fill up my senses" are quite good.
  23. aye, the difference between a good weekend and bad for me. Ive such a contented feeling just now. Just going out to work shortly and the usual feeling of 'I can't be bothered' has turned into a 'Bring it on!'
  24. Was sat next to my wife as she wrote xmas cards when we scored. I obviously leapt up, cards and envelopes flying everywhere. It was like Argentina 78 with all the paper going about.
