  1. Looked like the segregation divide had been moved along considerably in accordance with the smaller away following. Their super fans aren't so interested now it's down to the grind of a relegation battle and not a glory trip to Wembo. A bit closer than most expected on the pitch last night but ultimately another pointless game for them. Their other aways should bring a similar points tally then i can see them losing to Everton and Swansea at home at least. That doesnt leave them many games for salvation.
  2. Aye, and then seem surprised that they're stuck in traffic and sit there looking annoyed. Granted they might have to use that road but don't be shocked that there's a crowd knocking about.
  3. I've thought all along that they'd scrape by, but after yesterday i now genuinely think they could be doomed. You'd expect them to get very little, if anything from away games v 5 of the the top 7. That leaves them probably needing about 9/12 points out of 15 at home. They're not adrift of the others but they're worse off up front than the teams around them IMO. Playing Borini as their main striker is their best option and thankfully Poyet can't see this. Altidore makes Shola look decent and Fletcher's either injured or uninterested. Borini can't play v Liverpool either. I think a few hidings will come their way. Anfield or the Etihad maybe?
  4. Make sure its before early August because the championship season starts around that time.
  5. The 1st call was hilarious. He said their players beat Newcastle and think it's job done. Was saying how people are threatening to give up their season tickets. He was so irate he was at times speechless. Excellent.

Many actually cheered the Cisse for Shola change. Unbelievable. I can understand the frustration after Cisses miss in the run up to their goal, and it's understandable that he was taken off, but anyone choosing Shola over Cisse must be mad. When Cisse went off Armstrong would have been the better replacement.
  7. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/safc-made-%C2%A323m-loss-last-year.893176/ no profits there... This is a club whose owners seem to actually want to do well. Money is spent. Managers come and go through a revolving door and they still can't make any progress. Meanwhile Ashley couldn't give a s**t and we've still been in europe recently and even now we're only a couple of places behind their best ever prem' finish of 7th, almost by accident.
  8. Unless you cancel the direct debit of course.

unfortunately I don't think he could hit a shop window right now.
  10. I think they'll scrape by, but they're certainly in for a couple of stressful months yet.
  11. What would happen if Spurs win the Europa league and finished in the top 5? Would that free up yet another euro place for the premier league? Clutch at those straws!
  12. What is it with this lot? Another excellent chance of getting to Europe and they've blown it once more. They only had to beat Millwall a few years back to make it and typically failed. I was sure they'd at least have another Wembley day out. Poyet has effectively thrown the game by leaving Johnson and borini out. So no more Wembley and no European adventure. They might get a trip to the Orient, if Leyton Orient go up that is. Cheesy chips in the championship hopefully.

    Season Tickets

Anyone know the price of an adult ticket in the young persons area in 2011/12 season. Due to my daughters age we're being kicked out of the family area and will have to relocate to the young persons bit to keep costs down. Took on the 10yr price freeze in 2011/12 and im guessing we'll get our tickets at the same price as back then. Hoping anyway.
  14. I don't hate the mackems. Just want NUFC to be permanently better than them.
  15. Sunderland can't really expect much sympathy from us after the way the whole SOL crowd partied at news of our relegation.
  16. not all it's cracked up to be this Wembley thing eh? Don't rush back there lads. Suppose the bloke who designed the coach park was a mag.
  17. to think these could lose the fa cup final to one of the top sides and still get into Europe. Hopefully we'll be spared that.
  18. The Capital 3 one cup. Can honestly say I was terrified at half time though.
  19. dream? We're more used to the eurostar man. Trains around Europe.
  20. I was pleased to see a referee finally do something about Skirtels' persistent man handling yesterday. Gets away with holding etc week in week out.
  21. This 1992 thing. 1992 was a long time ago but we are still there. Aye crowds picked up massively at NUFC in 1992, but have never really dropped off since. God knows, they should have, considering the treatment we've had over the years. Next season might see a drop, but despite lean times we've had more or less full houses at SJP. Cup finals and the champions league are a distant memory, so to be looked upon as some kind of glory hunters, only there for the good times is crazy. SAFC fans, brag about winning the derby or being at wembley but don't try and mock our support when you can only muster 16k for a FA Cup 5th round tie against PL opposition.
  22. Have people in the same household received their renewal letters together. I've got mine but daughter hasn't. Maybe sent out in batches according to ticket numbers? Or maybe they've just cocked up, again.
  23. Laughing from their lofty position in the bottom 3. We may have the last laugh.
  24. They've got to the final of one cup and now the quarter final of another and the Brighton/ hull draw is their 1st away draw. just shows what can happen when your club has a go at it.
  25. Awful attempt at trying to justify Sunderlands 16k crowd by bbc 'look north' tonight. Came up with every excuse. Cup games not included wih s/tickets, the weather, spending money on Wembley hotels and travel, the amount of home cup ties they've had. Even dodged the £15 ticket issue by saying it all adds up if you take the family blah, blah. Indefensible attendance if truth be known. They think they're a top side since these cup runs and seem to be underestimating the perilous league position. Long may it continue.
