  1. Alright. Your right, i'm wrong. I should know better than to take the alternative view on here. At the minute i'm equally annoyed by the reaction of some fans as the plight of the team.
  2. Absolute tosh! Even with a depleted squad the teams we put out against Swansea, West Ham and Southampton were far superior player-for-player. We had home advantage in two of the three games and remember, the opposition didn't scrape lucky wins, they played us off the park. To further strengthen my argument, take a look at the Maritimo game - we put all of our big guns out and got outplayed by a small-time Portuguese team. I just think calls for his head are a bit knee-jerk in the circumstances. Even the loss of Colo, HBA and Cabaye is bound to play a part. That's about a quarter of the 1st team. I don't think there's a glut of great managers who'd be prepared to take over and work under Ashleys restraints either. Let's weather the storm until we get our 1st X1 back and hopefully he's given the chance to reinforce in Jan'. A bit of stability at the club is what's needed i think.
  3. Shouldn't even be discussing this IMO. He's had the squad disrupted heavily by a revolving door of injured/suspended players of late. He's hopefully realised the obvious in that our squad isn't deep enough, but he can't add to it until January, IF he's allowed to by the owner.

A mackem rang radio Newcastle to say that was the best they had played this season, and that they tore West Brom apart at times. Must have watched a different game to the one i watched. Mignolets howler had me laughing loudly. Still frightening to think that as bad as they've been this season, a win would have put them above us today. Difference is they are struggling with their best 11. I know we're are a decent side with our best 11, and i think we'll turn it around.
  5. Not sure if mentioned but possibly more out in the near future? He said, risking the possibility of doing a "Giggs". http://www.paisleydailyexpress.co.uk/renfrewshire-sport/renfrewshire-football/renfrewshire-football-st-mirren/2012/11/22/saints-sign-pact-with-english-premiership-giants-87085-32282014/
  6. Agree completely. The "your support is fkn s**t" rubbish is bad at any time and, in its self says a lot about our own support. To sing it to fans who've travelled thousands of miles to follow their club is very wrong indeed. Hopefully it can be put down to excitable kids having spent their pocket money on a night out with their mates. After all that, the support they offered to our club was to boo at the final whistle. Granted the performance was terrible, but we achieved our goal of qualification for the next stage with a game to spare. It's about what you do over 5/6 Europa games, not 1 at this stage.

"Full for the concerts!" "Your only full for the concerts" "Full for the con...certs" "Your only full for the concerts" Should maybe be in the "new songs" thread i know, but just something that has came to mind.
  8. Fantastic trip. Knackered today like, after getting off the train from London at 02:15 this morning. Went canny on the drink yesterday to make sure i got on the eurostar back ok. Then went for it once i got through security. Massive walk to the ground which angered previously calm fans. It was obvious they'd taken us the long way. Wasn't as expensive as i expected thankfully. Beautiful place. Just before we left our hotel i put the TV on. There was a report on the toon fans on the Belgian news. The bloke in the yellow jacket was on, along with one or two other familiar faces. "Scud" with his jester hat was on, and they interviewed some geordies with subtitles on the screen.
  9. Was just reading about that on the chronicle site. Great to see that screens are being put up. I really hope most behave to show that the Belgians had nothing to worry about. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/north-east-news/evening-chronicle-news//tm_headline=die-hard-newcastle-united-fans-set-sail-for-bruges%26method=full%26objectid=32182963%26siteid=72703-name_page.html
  10. Went on the DFDS ferry to Amsterdam when it was full of Man U fans going to Ajax. I had my bag searched, but not everyone did. All a bit of a gamble.
  11. A surprise 2-1 win for Rayo Vallecano at Malaga. A local suggested that the Malaga players didn't give their all because of the wages situation you mention. We enjoyed the game and you were right VI. It was very open. I started off wanting Malaga to win, as the "local" team to my holiday stay, but would have felt sorry for Rayo had they lost. They played really well. A player called Piti scored a couple of well taken goals.
  12. Worryingly, yes but not 'til 10pm. A long day awaits. Really looking forward to it now, but keep getting a bit panicky in case i forget something vital for the adventure, a passport or the likes.
  13. Waiting for a flight back from Malaga this morning and Ugo Ehiogu wandered past us. It was doing my head in trying to think of who he was. Luckily my mother in law barged straight up to him and asked, at which point he looked a little nervous.
  14. And they're worried about our behavior? Done nowt for their reputation there. Just seemed hell bent on annoying everyone.

They're digging themselves into a hole almost as big as the one they live in.
  16. just purchased 2 tickets for Malaga v Rayo Vallecano next Sat'. Half price through ticketmaster. 20 euros each. Not bad for a side in the champions league. Prices seem much better value abroad.
  17. From what i can gather, the ground is outside of the city centre anyway. They haven't said you can't enter the city without a ticket. If we just want to party in the centre and watch in a pub there shouldn't be a problem.

They were a single goal down v 10 men in their biggest game of the season. They should have been roaring their side onto a comeback, and the best they could come up with is "stand up if you hate the mags."
  20. E mailed our applications with enough points. Still no signs of acceptance. I just know that after keeping me in suspense for this amount of time, they are going to say there was some problem with the applications. If it were any other organization, i'd trust them to get in touch if that was the case, not NUFC however.
  21. See what i mean? Even now it's still confusing. I'm certainly not assuming that all those who've chosen TC haven't got enough loyalty points, but it just seems unclear as to wether or not points was an issue. I chose to travel independently personally, but you can't blame anybody who booked the Thomas Cook trip. We all had the option to do likewise.

Like how someone asks what that nugget was charged with when he ran onto the pitch and attacked Harper. Probs wasn't charged. It seems pitch invasions are acceptable down there. They do it every time they score against us. Celebrating like they've won the champions league.
  23. This Thomas Cook thing has been confusing throughout. I know people who booked with them and then cancelled on the understanding that they had insufficient loyalty points to qualify for a ticket. If loyalty points wasn't part of the TC criteria, i don't understand why they have lost custom by not making this clear.
  24. Just checked the ticket section on nufc.co.uk and public sale started last Friday 12th Oct' for West Brom, so using that as a guide, approximately 2 weeks before.
  25. Aye, newly built, replacement stadia are truly awful. I'm pleased too.
