  1. weve had a lot of goals of the season scored agianst us. its wierd because you cant really blame given for them, but despite having a better defecne we are conceding more goals than last sesaon. look at elanos goal and this one- no chance of being saved, same with gerrards and pamarots. its because we give class players them the ball unmarked just buy the area and the likes of smith give away stupid free kicks just outside the box.
  2. yeah, just got back from the emirates. pretty awful day for me, not only did they fuck up with my tickets so i missed the first 10 minutes of the game, the atmosphere was pretty bad and the performance likewise, despite not being too bad in the first half. then the trains were awful on the way back!! and the goals were down the other end. certainly a nice stadium though.
  3. dont know why but i have a good feeling about this game. which condemns us to defeat before weve even played.
  4. It was quite widely reported, usually in conjunction with Defoe spraying Wenger with champagne Other members of the Arsenal delegation, including the managing director Keith Edelman, had left the stadium early possibly anticipating traffic problems around the ground. Indeed, while Arsenal were represented in the directors' box until the final whistle, some directors left their seats around the 70-minute mark with Spurs well en route to a first victory over their bitter rivals in 21 attempts. http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2245845,00.html id love to see keegan spray sir alex ferguson with champagne if we beat them at SJP!! in all seriousness though, most big 4 fans are shite- im going to the arsenal game on sat with a couple of arsenal supporting mates and he said to me "you lot are shit, we are the best team in south east london". i ripped it out of him, as i plan to do if we get a result on sat!! chelsea gettting 2000 to everton when we get 5000 to arsenal and when they do lose the rest of the country loves it! especially when they all fuck off with 20 mins left!
  5. and i guess the usual, small town near tottenham, more noise at highbury, dive in a minute etc.
  6. given rozenhal taylor cacapa enrique milner butt nzogbia duff owen smith
  7. An Everton/Spurs final would be good for football. Sick of watching two extra "top 4" matches every single season. agreed. id much rather that than chelsea v man united which tend to be shit games anyway. good luck to the both tbh, but im more concened about us going into the fa cup 5th round than spurs!!! shame it couldnt be us in the carling cup final though- although ive pretty much written off this season for winning anything.
  8. our fa cup final opponents, whoever they may be. other than them, man united, chelsea, bolton
  9. inspirational half time talk by keegan, and they come out all guns blazing
  10. thats true, although lets be honest, weve been shit most places away from home under roeder and allardyce
  11. i really hope fulham dont go down, its a nice little ground which you can go and see a game for practically nothing. went to see fulham v blackburn for a fiver and it finished 2-2. to be fair they shouldnt have sacked coleman, but they might have gone down if they didnt. chelsea v birmingham doesnt show up on the sky sports live score centre- but its 0-0?
  12. im going forr one of theose absolutely ridiculous scorelines. 12-5 to us!!
  13. since i was 14, so this is my 3rd season as a newcastle fan. i never really was interested in football until 14 wierdly, i used to say i supported man united just because everyone else did, but wouldnt have been able to mention their starting 11!!! now ive seen 11 games from the last 2 seasons, and hoping to go to arsenal! first game was the 2-0 victory over west ham last season first home game was the 3-1 victory over spurs this season!
  14. good luck kevin!! hope you can be great again!
  15. didnt look that bad at OT from the highlights on motd. not great, but conceding 6 goals probably was harsh on them, due to a bit of dodgy refereeing and lack of cover from the midfield throughout. seems to be a lot of critisicm of enrique, who didnt look bad imo. wasnt at fault for the 2nd goal, although a not great backpass, given blasted it at cacapa. enrique did make a good off the line clearance, along with taylor twice and cacapa, and look to save us on another occasion. im hoping he'll be very good for the future, and lets be honest i didnt see the whole game, but playing in a team with no manager at old trafford cant be easy. he looked more than capable at stoke, lets hope he gives them a good game on wednesday.
  16. we could do a lot worse than redknapp. id give it to martin jol or alan curbishley over him though.
  17. Right. We'd be far better off giving Sam the time and support that he needed. Or at least demonstrate that the club can stick with a manager through a season. If season tickets are a concern, fire him before the last game of the season-- when you've taken the time to look for a suitable replacement. yeah i would have kept BSA for the season. but if were not gonna appoint harry because of his goals, lets just point at the lack of goals at SJP for too long now. still a good manager. lets not forget they scored 4 against us, 7 against reading and won 10 out of 11 away games or something ridiculous. i dont think goals will be a problem!
  18. Another difference is Redknapp doesn't have an incredibly stilted and negative Football philosophy that he sticks to no matter what. Though I have to admit that Portsmouth's shocking lack of goals at home does worry me a little bit.. But not too much given how well the team have played overall this season. did you see our shocking lack of goals at home?
  19. anyone seen coach carter? great film. thats who we need as manager
  20. i trust the new regime. ashley and mort may not be football men, but they are businessmen. as such, i trust them to turn newcastle united into a profitable business behind the scenes. redknapp is a good (not excellent, but best we are getting) manager and i would trust him to do quite well on the pitch once ashley and mort sort out the backroom bit. once were in a healthier position, then we can attract some good players and managers.
