    nufc.com

it's a canny site. as is True Faith. Neither present themselves as being an official voice of NUFC fans, they are unashamedly opinionated and good on them for being so. If you don't like it then don't log on. Simple as that.
  2. Only the EPL clubs as it the richest league & has the most exposure. Libya has a stake in Juventus though. surprised they've not targetted the Spanish league. Although the Barca ownership situation means one of the crown jewels isn't up for grabs. A English lad has just beaten Fred Shepherd to purchasing Real Magaulf yeah I read about that. Although my original point was more about the "real" moneymen (Abramovic, Lerner, Glazer, Thaksin etc etc etc)

Although the Barca ownership situation means one of the crown jewels isn't up for grabs. on the other point about brand development etc. I couldn't give a shit who owns or sponsors a club when making purchasing decisions. I've got no money in Northern Rock, I never shop at Sports Direct, I never drink Brown Ale, I only had NTL cos I didn't have the option for a Sky dish.
  4. quick question about the wider footballing world: are the money men also buying up European clubs or is it just the premiership they're focusing their sights on ?
  5. should be a class signing. if he gets on with spiderboy and jose then we're getting a tidy little collection of spanish speakers in the team. should help with settling into the clube etc. can imagine them all down El Coto for some tapas then off to the Salsa Club for some San Miguels... Get a creative midfielder in and a striker and we'll be looking ok for the start of the season.
  6. chill out man. as a fat ginger knacker once said "we're keeping our powder dry"
  7. i don't know, they did it once didn;t they ? are you confident that Ashley will ? Was that a yes or a no? are you renewing your season ticket Ozzie lad , and did you have one anyway ? A yes or no will do ? Did you have one when the club really was mediocre. A yes or no will do ? Yeah, we've renewed. Yes, we had our season tickets through Shepherd's last three managerial appointments. no, I said when we were mediocre Ozzie lad. Not while playing in europe. Did you have one when we were mediocre, a simple yes or no will do. I didn't have one we were mediocre, cos I was a kid and my old man wasn't interested in going to the match. By the time I was old enough to get one and go to the match with my pals we were getting promoted under Keegan. Does this make your opinion more valid than mine ? Just cos you are old enough to have been there during the mediocre years you think you are the dogs left bollock. For most people this is very, very, very irritating.
  8. wise words. I agree 100%. Although a few likely suspects on here will declare you a heretic and question your mental stability for making a statement like that.....
  9. Daft question that. If the manager wants him, then of course I'd have liked to have got him. Question should be, is Keegan happy at losing another target ? And a question for you is : are you happy with the regime missing out on the transfer targets like this ? how do you know we genuinely missed out ? As far as I am aware the club haven't made any statement regarding our interest in Aimar. It was all press specualtion fuelled by Aimar's agent saying "an english club" had come in for him. Am happy to stand corrected if there has been some official communication and I've missed it....
  10. 5 of us who sat in various areas of the gallowgate have managed to converge in 5 seats next to each other in the middle tier. Makes me think there's a lot of people who haven't renewed cos there's loads of choice if you want to move seats......
  11. people need to stop getting so obsessed by what are clearly just rumours that papers and internet wum's spread. we've been linked with at least 80% of professional footballers on the globe this summer, you don't need to be einstein to suss out that journo's just write shite to fill pages in the shite rags. everyone should just chill their boots.
  12. anyone know if there are seats available for movers in the lower tier of the gallowgate ?
  13. who else will be willing to pay him 110k a week anyhow ? arsenal ? no man u ? doubt it. liverpool ? turned him down when we signed him chelsea ? possibly spurs ? no villa ? no everton ? no pompey ? no etc etc etc
  14. what a fucking mong. brrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap
  15. cool. been away on holiday so wondered if I might have missed the call. If I can't move then I'm deffo not renewing and want to know asap whether I'll need to fork out the cash or not.....
  16. Anyone had any contact from the club about a voluntary request to move seats ? Or are they still sorting out all the people who are being re-located for the new sections.
  17. After giving it much deliberation I'm not renewing. Will just get tickets from the box office for games I want to go to.
  18. risky signing if you ask me. I'd rather try and spread the money across 5 good, commited players who are on the rise than spend 20m and 200k a week on a player who's only coming for the money and had a shitter last season.

    Mikel Arteta

can't see what would be in it for Arteta other than the £'s.

    Peter Crouch

if you seriously think that pompey are a bigger and better club than Newcastle, go. I'm sure they would be delighted to see you They could do with a few more supporters. you've missed the point. again. I was not on about whether I should support the toon or pompey. I was saying that in June 2008, if I was Peter Crouch and was being courted by both clubs, I would probably go there rather than come here. and I gave the reasons why I thought he would do that.

    Peter Crouch

I think the instability issue is one that a lot of people underestimate.
  22. I reckon he probably aims for 10pm, but then he'll see his reflection in the mirror when he brushes his teeth, he'll immediately get the horn, he'll then pull out his stash of spunk encrusted footy magazines from under his bed, get them all open on the pics of himself and wank himself senseless whilst crying with joy over his own beauty.

    Peter Crouch

small club punching above weight by winning tophies and playing in europe "big club" (in our case this is defined as well supported) who are punching way below weight, challenging for fuck all and have had 4 managers in 4 years. I'd be tempted to go to Pompey I reckon.
  24. can't say he'll be missed. to be honest most of the time I forget he's on our books. obviously talented, but appears rarely and will be getting paid a fortune in wages. I've seen his Mercs in town more often than I've seen him on the pitch.....
  25. first hand experience of all these eras lad. Do you ? Just call it a wider perspective if you don't. That's reality. Sunshine. I see you don't dispute now that going to a brothel is OK, despite your earlier comments. Nor the european qualifications for the quality players. Are you out of your depth yet ? first hand experience of 70's. sadly not I was 2 when the decade closed out. 80's, 90's 00's. yes lad. I was there. deal with it. brothels. if somone wants to bang a hooker and a hooker wants to make money banging then that's areet with me. out of my depth. certainly not. I would say I'm probably ankle deep in the tcp filled foot bath you have to walk through before you get to the pool. given the low strength and poor quality of your arguments I'd suggest you were close to drowning sunshine. just remember not to sell your story to the papers if the helicopter comes to rescue you. the coastgaurds don't like that sort of shit lad.
