About the size of dressing room they will be getting used to this season ?
-
Really hope we don't see Ritchie getting any game time, especially at left back this season. No offence to the lad, just his legs are shot and cost us countless goals early on last season
-
Astounds me someone like Dummett who plays football almost every day of his life has never improved his ability on the ball.
-
He can do things that very few players can. He has a higher ceiling than pretty much any of the players we have been linked with in my opinion. It just waits to be seen whether or not a solid pre-season, improved coaching and injury free run can lead to him maximising his potential. If he fails to develop this season surrounded by better players and with all the other advantages I already mentioned, then would be the time to maybe consider replacing him. But not yet, he is a unique enigma, and if nurtured properly becomes a high value asset.

He reminds me of Steven Taylor or who Taylor would have been if he wasn't a footballer.

Bruno is fucking incredible. It's even more noticeable in a game like this of low standard.
-
I swear Maxi gets unfairly called out. He still looks our best player to me. When he gets going he always looks the most dangerous and causes problems.
-
Just made me look...15 years ago since I joined ? and it's been my daily goto ever since.

I think I feel the same. Majority these days seem to want instant gratification. But I think in the same way I still prefer older films and slow burn storytelling. I think I'll enjoy the gradual progression more. As long as eventually success is guaranteed... I'm 33, I still want to see us win something in my life time ?

Saint-Maximin injured already? Not in the video Edit. My bad he's there on the 2nd half
-
I know there's a bit of perspective going on, but look at the difference in size of head ?
-
I didn't get the hype about Hudson-Odoi at first either but then more recently (start of last season or year before?) He was starting alot for Chelsea and was looking really good every time I saw him...but then seemed to disappear completely. I guess was injured or couldn't get back in the team 2nd half of season.
-
I usually try and avoid YouTube scouting players I don't know much of, until it's confirmed they are officially joining. Wish I had stuck to that, he looks perfect to slot into our RW role ?
-
I think Ziyech has been thoroughly underwhelming when I see him for Chelsea. I know a lot of players have gone there and struggled. Not that I see us attracting that sort of player or willing to pay those sort of wages yet anyway.
-
Be interesting if this means Burn drops to bench or we go back 3..or at times we end up playing left footer at Right CB? Little harsh on Burn if he's gonna lose his spot after the form he showed since joining but glad we finally are building towards a squad with some depth for once.
-
I think he is going to have a good year if he can avoid injury. He's at a good age, has been in the league for awhile now and feels a little like a point to prove. Plenty of excuses previous seasons, but going into this year every player including him, should be looking to attack it with positivity and not the flat out misery of previous years.

Player of the Season: Joelinton Most Improved Player of the Season: Joelinton Most Disappointing Player: Lascelles/Wood Signing of the Season: Dan Burn/Target (transformed the left side of defense which was our weakest area) Goal of the Season (feel free to rank your top 3):Bruno Vs Southampton away. Game of the Season: Everton home or Arsenal Home. On the pitch Moment of the Season (we all know the takeover was the off-field most important): Trippier free kick Vs Everton. Manager rating out of 10: 10, couldn't have asked for anymore really based on his task set when joining. Season rating out of 10: 8/10 our club has been returned to us and the excitement is palpable.

Did really well for that pukki chance first half. There was also a really good top corner save at one point.
-
It's definitely helped bring a change in Almiron I've noticed. He knows there is someone who is going to look for him so he sets off on these runs now with confidence a through ball may come his way.
-
Didn't see the game live last night, but I'll say the same thing I say to a guy in my team who sits deep and then screams at you to get back. Its alot more draining, going on long lung busting sprints with the ball then expected to sprint back again, than it is to sit in deep. ?
-
Hope Willock gains the confidence to do that sort of thing more often. He's got a great stride when he opens his legs up and drives forward with purpose.
-
That pen decision is a shocker. There's no way the ref saw it as he has loads of people Infront of his view. So the var has to then ask him to review. Perfect example of big team bias.
-
He's always running after the ball or man in desperation, more than any other player. That shows his lack of positional awareness. Countless times a player was making a run and got in behind him because he didn't read the game quick enough to cover it off. Murphy didn't help much I front at times to be fair. We are carrying him at the moment and I feel Manquillo has proved time and again that he is the better option, so I'm surprised he didn't come straight in after his injury.
-
Think first game in a while we looked tired. Not surprising as the same team has more or less played on this run we've been on.
-
Look dangerous every time we attack. Krafth still gives me nightmares every time he plays though.
