  1. Wayne Hennessey has been shit his entire career. I can remember him stinking up the PL circa 2010 with a stupid blonde poodle on his heed, absolutely mental he's still knocking about at the top level.
  2. Good signing at that level. Hope he does well.
  3. Feels like time is starting to run out a bit. I'm not saying we "have to" do anything in a given window but to leave it weaker than we started by losing Wood would be absolutely criminal given the position we're in tbh.
  4. I think he's proven that he can he an important part of the squad over the next few years for sure but his lack of quality in passing and shooting is starting to stick out. When we do replace him we need to try and find someone who does all of his running and pressing to such good effect but with the quality to go with and that's easier said than done IMO.
  5. Absolutely magic. Murdered his man for the goal, absolute "see ya later" moment.
  6. Good result that given how we creaked around the 50-70 min period just after Jow missed the sitter. Big well done to the lads for a huge effort.
  7. We've been absolutely fucking garbage since Joelinton skied that chance. Need to wake up here.
  8. £500m we went for £300m slap bang in the middle of a pandemic and midtable when the fee was first agreed. With our books in much better shape too. He's on smack thinking he'll get anywhere near that.
  9. Aye. Not really worth reading too much into what he says, he refused to be drawn on Isak after the Tranmere game despite that being all but done.
  10. Imagine playing in the Premier League for best part of 10 years with a year out to win a Championship trophy, winning an FA cup and paying in European competition and being told you've "wasted your career" Then again @Stifler I guess the lad isn't up during the day writing on a forum about a guy he doesn't even know, no maybe he's been too busy you know with playing for Premier League football teams, earning more money in a week then what people on here will earn in a year, getting to go home to his wife and child at the end of the day. If he puts in the work then one day when he's at work he might score the winner in a derby, with a bit of good luck he might even score the winner in a cup final. Aye but go ahead, mock the lad on his wasted career, because he's got nothing on any of you. I mean how can compete with half the people on here who one day if they work hard enough and sacrifice all their time possibly including time supporting us, or even valuable family time then one day when some of you go to work you might be promoted to the position of deputy shift supervisor at the Tesco's down the road, or possibly even PA to the PA, to the PA of the big boss.
  11. Arteta acting the knob again I see. Such a shame cos I find Arsenal a fairly likeable side otherwise.
  12. Dyer and Hasselbaink are both absolutely thick as fuck. "You've got to win here if you're going to get top four" We've just watched Man U draw here, City drew here last year and won the fucking league. Pair of utter divvies.
  13. Doesn't look quite right to me. Not sure if he needs more minutes or alternatively a rest?

    Nick Pope

Hell of a save. So impressive how he keeps his concentration when he's usually fairly underemployed.
  15. Can see why he's maybe slightly concerned about Wood moving. We have a bench where 5/9 options will never, ever see the pitch unless there's an injury or total emergency. Anderson and Murphy are only trusted for 10 min max cameos. So you basically have Maxi and then Wilson/Isak as options when teams sit deep and frustrate us. Maxi is usually ineffective when there's minimal space behind the backline. The options to change it are so so limited and making 1-2 quality additions this window would turn some of these draws into wins IMO.
  16. Getting £15m back considering his age and recent goalscoring form is a hell of a result tbh. Wish him well & would definitely rather Forest stop up this season then the likes of Everton, Southampton, West Ham etc.
  17. I was comparing their records for us only - fully aware that Wood's largely been a really good goalscorer at basically every club other than us.
  18. Murphy made 18 appearances and scored 6 goals, he's basically Aguero compared to Wood ffs
