  1. Paddy Kenny isn't exactly a brain box but he's quite entertaining on some of the podcasts I've heard him on. Has something of a personality about him. Aluko is thick as pigshit and completely up her own arse, devoid of any kind of personality. Neither entertaining not enlightening.
  2. Woah, summat wrong with your taste buds if you can't appreciate a Tory Fanta.
  3. Well, there'll be a bunch who get extra leave cos they've played internationals after the season (Trippier, Wilson, Bruno, Joelinton, Schar, Dubravka, Pope, Botman, Gordon, Tonali.. and probably a few I missed) who probably won't feature in that match. It'll be the usual where most players get a half and we indeed see a blend of U23s and first reamers.
  4. We're a professional outfit now, the players will have had fitness and diet plans for over the summer months and will have kept themselves topped up whilst also having a bit of a rest. The way some people go on you'd think they'd all headed off on a five week booze cruise all-inclusive the day after Chelsea (a). 11 days training will be more than ample to go play Gateshead and then build the levels from there.

It's not enough to falsify fans coming onto their board to praise Sunderland's fans, atmosphere, city etc. but they have to also compare them to Newcastle favourably every time too

    Dogawful Officiating

Doesn't matter what they do, it'll still be open to interpretation and seeing as the vast majority of the blokes using the technology are either absolute fucking divvies or bent as a nine bob note (or both) we'll still see baffling and shite decisions all over the shop.

I'm not even aware of any "away pubs" in Newcastle. Away fans are welcomed virtually everywhere.

Remember when we got mugged paying £20m for Callum Wilson and they said they wouldn't swap him for Danny Graham who had just come back on a free

A Sunlin supporter I work with reckons Spurs have a 40% sell-on clause, hence the initial offer of £9m or whatever Burnley put in seeming like small potatoes. He seemed to think they'd probably sell at £15-£17m plus add ons which would mean they actually bank about £10-£12m depending.
  10. Apparently Madders is heavy into his soaps and was worried that playing Tuesday and Wednesday nights all the time would cause him to fall behind on Corrie and EastEnders. Gutting tbh.
  11. Much as I hate the ugly little cheat, I feel like Havertz will do really well for Arsenal not being shoehorned into a main strikers role.

    Tino Livramento

Just thinking about this but if he's 20 we won't need to register him for next season. Assuming he could go down as a cover option for left-back as well, you could feasibly get rid of Lewis, Krafth/Manquillo and then loan Ashby and still have a full back roster of: RB Trippier Livramento Krafth/Manquillo Murphy (emergency) LB Burn Targett Dummett Livramento Krafth/Manquillo Ritchie (emergency) And that's before you look at signing a new first choice left-back as has been mooted.

Feels like he's been around the PL for ages and yet he's only 20 years old. Have heard good things before so here's hoping. I reckon this'll be Ashby away on a season-long loan and either Manquillo or Krafth selt.

    Sean Longstaff

I wouldn't bet against him making 25+ starts across all competitions this coming season, I think as said above Tonali will be eased in and that his work rate will still be vital for us, particularly away from home.
  15. I remember a final at a Paralympics or something where a bloke with one leg was taking a pen against a keeper with one arm... and for some reason he kicked the pen to the side where the keeper's arm was couldn't understand why.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

We could do with another striker, young and up and coming, maybe who can also play wide IMO. Rather than stack the bench with 5 fullbacks who mostly won't ever play it'd be nice to have another option on there. Not talking about a mega bucks signing but perhaps a calculated punt at £5m-£10m on someone 20ish who could make an impact and play some minutes. It was quite stark just before we signed Wood that there was absolutely nobody in the U23s even worth shoving in for one game against Cambridge in the cup and it's a gap that needs to be addressed with us having 2 strikers again, of which one is made of wet tissue paper.

They should sign him to play wide midfield, he's always running down the wing...
  18. Shay spent the closing moments of his final appearance for us away at Blackburn stopping a fight between Barton and Enrique and I'm sure he'd spent half the game being sick pitchside too. It stung at the time but we did have a reasonable deputy in Harper and we were such a bloody shambles right then I couldn't blame him for wanting away so quickly.
  19. To tune of Jamie T - Zombie He's a big bad centre mid, comes from Italy He's world class, top quality It's Ton-aliiiiiiiiiiii, it's Ton-aliiiiiiiiiiiiii
  20. Feel like everyone who said O'Neil deserved to be mentioned in the (outside) running for Manager of the Year is now nodding along with the decision to pot him, which is a bit odd. I'm in the same position tbf If they've got a big big upgrade incoming then it's entirely understandable like. O'Neil will definitely get another crack at a Championship job soon as a minimum you'd think.
  21. This would be an absolutely fucking incredible signing. He's top drawer, £50m feels like an absolute snip.
  22. This. 15 years of Ashley and I can only pick out Humphrey, Colin Murray and maybe in the latter years Carragher who seemed to genuinely grasp our situation and put it forwards properly on their shows. If we're going to give shit to pundits or presenters let it be cunts like Keys, Rio, Jenas, Merson, Jamie Redknapp et al who defended Ashley to the hilt and said "it's his club and if he wants to run it on a shoestring then that's up to him and they should accept it". There's videos of Humphrey directly challenging that attitude on BT.
  23. It's a great resource for old match reports, stats, archives etc. but agreed they don't seem to be genuinely in the know very often. Still remember they were adamant we were signing Edmilson under Big Sam despite him having a 9-month injury weeks earlier.
  24. Hope Moyes boys beat these cheating forrins like. Disgraceful
  25. I'd love Ayoze back on a one or two year deal like.
