  1. Not so sure it was, he'd been in for months, we'd still only won once, didn't look miles better for it and he was still picking knackers like Clark. One shot on target at home versus a crap Watford team and a limp late equaliser. Obviously, benefit of hindsight, the massive corner turn was only a few weeks away, but it looked bleak at the time.
  2. Bet you've never been wrong before either have you?
  3. I was reading something about how it's possible to get Photo 39 on the back of your top rather than Bruno 39. The odds are so slim but there's this picture that makes it look like it happened.
  4. Sure there was a 0-0 at home under Roeder too? We drew 0-0 with Chelsea the game before or after.

He'll want to put him in the shop window, just like he did with his Land Rover.

Agree. I'm normally first to bump this thread every week when we get landed with horrific or inconsistent decisions - thought the fella today was fine. Like you say, no big calls to make, but had a handle on the game which is rare these days.
  7. Klopp isn't evil but he's at the very, very top of whatever the bracket below that is. If I walked past someone kicking the fuck out of him on the street I'd go and buy them a sandwich and a Red Bull so they could do it for longer.
  8. To be fair to Gary O'Neil, everyone and their dog had Bournemouth nailed to go down when he took over there and he's steered them to safety with games to spare. They've still taken some hammerings but he's done well to get the points in early.

You can see the signs and the glimmers, he's just incredibly raw and lacking in decisiveness. Possibly trying too hard to impress. He will have some shit games (Villa) and some better ones. He'll be a good player in 2-3 years, hopefully it's with us.
  10. Once again - no Longstaff in the middle and we look disjointed as fuck. Still got every faith we turn this around, can see Wilson and Isak getting time on the pitch together again. Be interesting to see what Eddie does.
  11. I didn't explain it all that well like. I still think we'll win, just think it might be a closer, grind it out 2-1 job this time. Of all the games we've had lately this is the one you'd expect to rattle in 4, 5 or 6 the most so it might be subverted I think, that's all.
  12. Get the feeling we'll be expected to piss this and it might be a scrappy struggle. Then again I said that before Everton

Glad to see him back. He was tidy and solid other than the yellow card incident. Hopefully he can start to challenge BDB over the remaining weeks.
  14. Sad, jealous old wanker is bitter.

    Alexander Isak

Reminded me a bit of that Berbatov Vs West Ham one where he dribbles along the touchline except even better. That one was replayed for years and years so I hope this one is similarly replayed. Between that today and the Willock assist at the weekend we're witnessing sheer footballing porn at the moment.

    Has he forgot his whistle?
  17. Is it just me or is this being broadcast from a camera on the International Space Station? Seems miles away from the pitch, can barely see the players.
  18. Think this'll be one of those where we grind it out rather than the champagne performance we saw today. 1-2, Isak brace.

    Joe Willock

What a steal he was at £25m. Bags of energy, talent and a great footballing brain. Seems like a lovely lad as well.
  20. That was a fun half. Fucking incredible. Lloris has to be one of the worst keepers in the division. I can remember him throwing goals in for us almost 10 years ago and that he's still there now is insane.
  21. "Both teams are responsible for making goalkeepers a little more active" What's he on about?
  22. I was there today, they played excellently against a very poor Bradford side. Looked like scoring from every wide free kick or corner as the away keeper and defence couldn't defend aerial balls for shit. Decent turnout to get 24,000. About 50-60 Bradford fans turned up, a bunch of them arrived in the Gallowgate West corner, sat at the back and started banging drums etc, and after 15 mins were made to walk all the way round to the opposite corner where the away end was by the Stewarts strange stuff.
