There was such an obvious fallout between players and coach. The transfer window is over and it sucks that players have too much power, but the owners were basically volunteering to be relegated if they kept Ranieri. Is there any more loyalty left in football? Well you could say it was harsh given the miracle he performed, but there's also living in the past. Clearly it's all gone wrong and you can either do nothing about it, or make a tough decision. Relegation would undo a lot of good that the owners have done and it would've been crushing to see Ranieri at that moment anyway.

I guess it's similar to the MH17 debate. But everyone's been magnificent with this kid - Defoe in particular seems to care about him.

I feel heartless having seen everyone's reaction on here and Twitter But doesn't sacking Ranieri now SAVE his legacy? Watching him get relegated would've been so sad.
-
Fair tbh, not surprised. They were very likely to get relegated.

Already excited for the summer saga.

Time of year where the blank and double gameweeks come in. Man City blank, then double, then blank again.... bloody infuriating

Watching the YouTube compilation of Robert's goals - some of those free kicks were absolutely ridiculous.

http://www.theladbible.com/more/viral-wayne-shaw-reveals-real-reason-behind-why-he-ate-a-pasty-20170223 Sadly, Shaw didn't even enjoy the pie that much. Explaining, he said: "It was a meat Cornish pasty - quite nice too. "It was probably a good seven out of ten. It could have done with a bit of chilli sauce on it. "But it gave me terrible bloody indigestion. It was either the onions or the pastry, or maybe I just chomped it too quick. "It didn't cost me anything from the girl at the counter - apart from my job." Are these real quotes?

Was it definitely a pie and not a pasty?

The worry is that it's the same team winning every week, so we've got no breathing space whenever we slip up. But hopefully their luck runs out and a combination of a busy schedule & tiredness from playing style will catch up. Basically, don't lose to them. -
Sick of Huddersfield doing this. Pricks.

Mitro and Murphy are good enough to cover him, it's just a terrible time to lose your star striker. Damn.

Bob Madley is ref for our game at Brighton. Oh joy.

He sold Gestede and McCormack in January. Jordan Ayew too, but at least he got left-back Neil Taylor from that

Win the next one and we can get away with 1 or maybe 2 defeats in that away streak. -
Was all set for a nervy 2nd half until Villa decided not to bother. The sweet sweet revenge of Lansbury's OG made it pretty comfortable and it was nice to see us pass the ball around with arrogance after that. Beat Bristol City and I think we're good.

That's pretty standard tbh. Man Utd have done the same for quite a while now. Never heard of this before but it makes a lot of sense. Lots of Universities now have a London campus too.

Not so certain they'll stay up, like.

It's 3 into 2 now. -
Think the Huddersfield replay is just before playing us too, so that's good. Shame about Brighton, but Leeds don't really matter to us.

Happy Birthday, Bobby I often wonder if his team was actually better than Keegan's, he just had much tougher competition (Wenger's Arsenal, Chelsea with Abramovich etc). Maybe that's just bias because I can only remember his team

True. Because Reading players have the power to just win the match if they want to. Must be great when they all agree to win. That's a very pedantic view. You are probably too young to remember this, but many years ago the mackems got relegated because Coventry and another team, might have been West ham, who were both relegation candidates, kicked off late because of traffic problems. When the mackems game finished, they were told the score at half time and they realised that if they drew they would both be safe. If either of them won the match, then the other would be relegated. Accordingly, they both played out an entire half not putting each others goal under pressure. Thats why on the final day of each season all teams kick off at 3pm in order to avoid just that scenario happening again. Whilst the likes of Reading have no god given right to win a game that they a drawing, they can still bust a gut trying to win it, especially if we had lost and they realised they could catch us if they won all three points. Hypothetical, I know, but if it happened and we missed out on a promotion spot we would all be spitting feathers at the unfairness of it. Well that situation was different because they conspired to draw, just like Sweden v Denmark at Euro 2004.
