The club have managed to get one player through the door in about two years. What makes you think they'll sign 5 in a few weeks when every club knows we've got cash to spend? Cloud cuckoo land.

Champions League qualification for the second time in three years (by the skin of our teeth). No signings for the last few windows so money to spend. In desperate need of some new additions to freshen the squad up and compete in Europe and the league. We need to get it right. So far, we've managed one signing. A player nobody else was in for. People have every right to be concerned. This summer presented a big opportunity to kick on. If we fail to add players in the right positions, there's every chance the wheels might come off like they almost did last year. Thankfully Howe was able to turn it around much to his credit. Added European games make this season so much more difficult. Ideally you want players to have a good pre season with us and adapt to Howes methods. We haven't managed that but we really need to pick it up between now and the end of the window. Bringing players in at the back end of August is far from ideal, particularly from abroad but it's better than nowt. They have to get it right from here though.

Either we pay the price they want, or we have enough targets to move onto. It has to be one or the other, else you end up with the Guehi situation over and over.

Really do think we're being used in all of this to force Liverpools hand. I don't like any of it.

If we sign Ekitike, I think we'll forgo signing a central defender for decent money this window. Even more so if we sign Trafford. There was times last season when Schar was really starting to creak. Going into such a long campaign with just three centre backs, one of which has had quite a lot of time out and the other two aged 33 seems like quite the risk? They must really, really like Ekitike. Would be wild if we signed a defender too like. The perfect window.

Based on fuck all, I'm not sure this will happen. Any chance we're being used to drum up interest?

Brighton getting in Europe ahead of them is brutal

We have to sign a centre half like. No two ways about it. Cannot go into a PL/CL campaign with Burn (33), Schar (33) and Botman the only real centre halves. Lascelles hasn't played in so long.

I'm on the DCL train. I think he's a good addition as a backup striker. Providing we strengthen in other areas that is.

A good season in spite of the window. Howe performed miracles last season. He can't be expected to keep doing so.

Would love Brentford to go down. You've had your time in the top league, off you pop now. Same with Bournemouth. Replace them with proper clubs.

Think we'll get Pedro. He wants off and Brighton are happy with him to go for the right price. I think Elanga is more important to Forest than he is to us, and as such our valuations wont be met. Hopefully we dont overpay. I think we'll come to and agreement for Trafford too - Burnley will take the money and fancy themselves to replace him.

I think there's no chance of 125m for the three of them either
