  1. Know what you're saying but unfortunately Aguero's injuries always mean he's missing for long periods in a season.
  2. The difference between "night & day" Carvie Lickolls was on about was due to fact that supercunt Williamson wasn't in the team. Despite the ridiculous marking for the goal (Raylor should not have been the one marking Anichebe ffs), we looked more assured at the back. There was none of this useless bumbling around like a drunken horse we usually get from good old iron mike, and the hoofball to short pass ratio, although still relatively high, was nowhere near what it usually is. Granted it was Pulis' WBA we were playing, but still, an improvement overall Dummett played a huge role in that, and I have to say, even captain Scribe was better than his usual self, at time bringing the ball out of defence. Granted it was Pulis' WBA we were playing, but still, an improvement overall that should give the players confidence going into the next game, with Janmaat and co coming back as well.
  3. The point we got yesterday has effectively relegated them before today, so hopefully we'll come up against a patched up team of mercenaries without any fucks given next week.
  4. No issues at all with keeping him on for a very specific role - coming on as sub when winning to relieve pressure in central midfield by hassling and harrying and winning freekicks. In-game management and nowt else. May be useful cover for freak injury/suspension situations, but I don't think overall his wages would justify it. Needs to be under an actual football manager though. Having said that, in terms of how we treated him during his ordeal, I wouldn't begrudge him a 2 year contract extension from a "human" point of view. I would absolutely LOVE for him to somehow score before the end of the season. I would genuinely celebrate my ass off like we've won something. What a big FUCK YOU that would be to a horrible disease.
  5. Cheers, I expected that but I wanted to test it anyway. Javi Fuego is a badass.
  6. It's already been said, but needs to be said time and time again, Ayoze is a very special talent. Some of his improvisations on the ball and use of his balance is off the charts. A little bit different to HBA in terms of style of play, but IMO he's up there with him in the "real baller" stakes. The only highlight of our miserable season.
  7. Ayoze is our whole team. Bits and pieces from Riviere and Sissoko, nowt else anywhere.
  8. Sissoko passes to cabella down the line, and just stands there completely static. What?
  9. I would never EVER wish an injury on anyone, but fuck me Raylor has to get the fuck out of that team. Carver is a thundercunt of the highest order playing him ahead of Abeid who is more intelligent, more athletic, and actually is a footballer. Disgusting.
  10. Fucking hell. Respect! I know he's loaded beyond belief but that's still a staggering amount.
  11. hey al pards, take that imaginary line of yours, run with it, get over the line, then stick it up your ass.
  12. Yup. We were lucky to have Hughton and the key players that dragged us up last time, hard to see who would step up now. totally, not a chance this set up, staff and players would stand a chance of bouncing straight back up unless we spent 50 million or something Under Ashley yes. But maybe new owners can rejuvenate the whole place and re-work the club's structure to move us forward, without spending astronomical amounts. And even if they do, the sheer size of our club makes it a sound investment. It's so fucking easy for Ashley to do it but he's too stupid/tight to do it.
  13. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that we're more likely to find buyers for the club if we drop down a division. The investment to gain promotion would be slightly less than that to keep us up. Also as new owners, maybe starting out in the championship, away from the spotlight of the PL, might be better if they intend to fix the problems Ashley has left us with. It would be easier to assemble a young and hungry squad, and install a forward thinking, young and hungry manager to take us back up. Not too dissimilar to the methodology applied by SJH.

    John Carver

He's been leaving the players hung out to dry for weeks now, dodging blame as much as he can. The only motivation he's great at is making people in this forum want to punch his face. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he's a coach wanting to make the transition into management. There's a reason why most managers start at lower levels away from the spotlight, and that is to learn the ropes, especially when it comes to dealing with the image they portray themselves and their team in. Chris Hughton was a very experienced coach, but had hardly any experience managing a big club. He knew this all too well, and was always slightly withdrawn and soft-spoken, and never really made a fool of himself or the club in an amateurish way. If Carver actually had any intelligence, he would have done the same. He wouldn't have been banging on about the Geordie/SBR/Speed/Passion thing to everyone who would listen. He lacks the intelligence and understanding of what the big job entails, but if he thinks he can do it, he's more than welcome to fuck off and learn the ropes somewhere else.

He doesn't even really have "passion" does he? He's just an aggressive bully IYAM. His one and only act of "passion" as assistant manager was probably when he went straight to McManaman after that tackle on Haidara at HT. Having a go at the enemy in adversity so to speak. Otherwise, this "passion" he supposedly has, he's only displayed it by having a go at the club's own fans and players.
  16. Ouch. Harsh on him. Must be so exasperating being injured all the time. Pretty sure this won't be the end of it as well. Would've liked him a lot more if it weren't for that cringeworthy dance. As for his club, HAHAHAHAHA.
  17. Aye apologies. Just twigged on that it was HF. Great work man.
