  1. Seriously, why does our club always have to be labored with the Diame's of this world? It is disgusting. Fuck you Ashley, you cunt.
  2. That team is a f***ing joke. Darlow, Diame, Perez? I know Perez gives us the option to defend in a 4-4-2 or a 4-4-1-1/4-5-1, but Diame??! Just play Hayden or Shelvey ffs. Darlow is f***ing pants- he reminds me of an FM-glitched-to-f*** GK. Not arsed about no Yedlin- we won't be in situations where we need him overlapping anyway. Manquillo is rubbish too, but can't be that much worse (definitely will be). 0-0 Final score
  3. Get what you pay for, ie Joselu £5m. Yedlin £5m. Perez €2m. Horrific.
  4. Guarantee if we were to have come here and from the start open up and try and get at them they would have picked us off on the break and people would be crying at how naive we are.
  5. Yeah. I'm losing patience with it all (the club) now. For those saying a relegation isn't in Ashley's best interests....really? Sounds familiar. 2 relegation's later. In his world we just bounce straight back up- we sell players for a profit, keep what we've got and bounce back straight away whilst keeping a full SJP. We're utterly fucked if this doesn't happen. I'm so fucking sick of this club.
  6. Identical to Watford. Switch of play to the right, cross, goal. Chancel fucking shit for that as well. Fuck this man.
  7. You fucking useless cunts. Fuck. Off. Sinking like a fucking stone. TYPICAL.
  8. No way should Yedlin be dropped before Manquillo Manquillo is really, really poor, I agree. I think I am too emotional and as a result have over-exaggerated Yedlin's shitness against Manquillo's.
  9. Individually piss poor. Tactically piss poor, as well. Overall, a frighteningly inept performance by all involved and I think it's now very clear that we will be in the relegation dogfight come whenever it takes place. Merino, Hayden, Lascelles, and Atsu need to return ASAP if we are to keep our heads above water. Mitrovic needs to replace Joselu, whilst Jesus Gamez must be played over one of Yedlin or Manquillo- at this stage, preferably over Yedlin (today confirmed that he is in fact a sprinter, not a footballer.....hopeless, and once again shown up 1v1 against a good attacker). I'm starting to lose the rag now, Ashley has left us in an absolutely appalling position. Un-fucking-forgivable, and the fact that some knobheads in the Gallowgate had the cheek to 'sshh' people starting the 'Get out of our club' chant is utterly embarrassing.
  10. 0-0 (definitely not, but still)! Can't understand why people want Dummet back, he's a fucking donkey, man. Chancel or Gamez are far better options. Gotta stop them getting 1v1 situations and in-swinging crosses into the box. Clog the middle of the pitch, then double up. We'll probably get 1 half chance in the whole match
  11. Not going to lie, I can just about see where people are coming from when they booed at the final whistle. I didn't do it- I think I have only ever done that after that Reading match at home with Pardew, but it was more at him than the players. However, I think we need to take into account that although there are some part-timer mongs who most likely took part, I can understand genuine fans' frustrations spilling over. We were really poor against Bournemouth, and lost. The ref didn't help either. No Merino, Lascelles went off injured, we had to watch Javier Manquillo try to play football....and the succession of poor clearances and decisions in our own 1/3 that lead up to the corner for their goal were so bad for a team of this level. It was an incredibly frustrating match, and we simply have to be beating these teams at home especially- because despite the unexpected point vs Liverpool, the same simply won't happen when Man City and Chelsea come to SJP. The fact that we conceded near with the last kick of the match meant the anger was very raw- it wasn't like we conceded after 30mins, battered them all match but couldn't break them down- I don't think people would have booed then. Anyway, just a terrible result
  12. Genuinely think Rafa picks the ST/10 on ability to be effective in the defensive phase- as big of a fan as I am of Mitro (and I think he should definitely have been brought on, not Perez. At least Mitro would have had the nous to win clever FK's to relieve the pressure), Joselu and Gayle both beat him in terms of mobility and probably willingness to press. I'm pretty convinced this is the main reason he's out. Vs. West Ham he came on when we were 2-0 up and safe. Otherwise he came on vs. Palace because Joselu was knackered and we had no choice but to try and match Palace's physicality (plus, defending set-pieces was big in that match). I think the West Ham match is the example of where he fits into the team- if we're hanging on (which we have been in every game bar that one) then I don't think there's a place for him. If we're protecting a lead or playing for a point (ie Liverpool) then Gayle may come on with 10 to go to chase clearances in the hope that he might get onto one in behind. Perez is convenient for us (from Rafa's POV) because we can just drop another body comfortably into midfield if necessary. For me, no one can argue Joselu is a better Striker in an attacking sense than Wor Mitro, but this team is built around a defensive mindset focusing on keeping us solid (we're 11th with this squad so far, so it's worked thus far). We're wasting our time if we play the 'he'll score more goals' card. It's whether he'll press, drop back in, slide across, screen etc.
  13. Manquillo is fucking woeful. An absolute shambles of a footballer- I'm sorry, but he can fuck off and deserves all the abuse he gets. Switched off for the first goal Spurs scored vs us, was woeful at Huddersfield, absolute dogshit for Southampton's first goal vs us, on Monday night somehow allowed that pass into the box that led to their goal (his angles were atrocious), and today he was a total liability. Has no ability on the ball either. Seriously, how the c4nting hell did he play for Atletico and Liverpool? We were poor, but I thought in the 2nd half Bournemouth were really clever. In fact all through the match they had clearly targeted our weaknesses (which are our Full Back's; get the ball in behind them) and it was very hard for us to deal with. They played the ball well into the channels and counter attacked very well at speed. We were very fortunate not to be behind from a goal on the break. We kept getting caught in midfield, and I was a bit surprised we didn't drop our ST's back deeper to compensate and soak up pressure a bit easier that way. Nonetheless, we created some good chances we didn't take- although I haven't seen Gayle's goal on TV, but it didn't seem offside even from the back of the Gallowgate. It sounds incredibly harsh, but Murphy looks absolutely lost out there. It's unfair to judge him on only snippets of minutes, but each time he's come on he's only looked to serve as a weakness or total blandness to our attack. We missed Atsu a lot, he was our way of getting out in the final 20mins. Perez absolutely fucking shite once again. Yedlin = lots of hard work, recovers very quickly, defensively OK, but no end product. Hayden/Shelvey very good but we still miss Merino in there- he would have been just what we needed today, someone to take the sting out of the game and help us control the ball better. Joselu can't be faulted for effort but I'm sorry he's not getting many if any more than 5 goals this season. As I said when we signed him, £5m for a reason... Overall, absolutely fucking gutted at that. Especially in the final minute. Days like these I really wish football/NUFC didn't mean so much to me, I just can't take loses like this. Totally miserable. However, we're due a bumpy patch, and realistically this is the way it's going to be for the season. Contrary to what every fan in this country has been fed for decades now; the standard of this league is bang fucking average, just like our team. So, imo, we will be fine (mainly because we have a world class manager). Far worse teams than us in this league, but we're still so far away from where this club really should be. Reality is depressing.
  14. Manquillo was our weak link the whole match, it's no surprise that he played a big part in costing us that goal. There's no way Burnley player should have been able to slide a pass in when he was up against Manquillo- poor defensively from him (again). Jesus Gamez, please.
  15. I don't entirely agree. I think we showed against West Ham & Stoke in particular, and at times well against Swansea and Spurs, that if we engage the oppo. just inside their half and work off triggers to press from there we actually create some very good opportunities to counter attack against them in their final 1/3. I personally quite like it (at times), and think that when an NUFC team digs in and presses well and plays quick on the break it actually suits the mindset of the fans better. You go in with an NUFC crowd and, like most fans in this country, they enjoy players grafting, putting in tackles etc. Also, I don't believe we have the quality in Yedlin and Lascelles in particular to play out and through teams. I think if we were to play Shelvey + Merino we could get on the ball a bit more, but I prefer Hayden in there instead of Shelvey. Also, the likes of Atsu are better 1v1 with space in behind, whilst for me Ritchie is the same- when the opposition are compact and there's not much space for him to turn he's quite ineffective imo. I can see the frustration in not looking to dominate more, and in fairness I think against sides like Brighton we should be a bit more attacking, but when you look at the keeper we have its very hard to justify playing out from the back. I feel though that if we are to play more ball, Gayle has to start to give that threat to slide in behind. Just imo, I think we are right to go through brief spells in matches of trying to dominate, but overall sit off and pounce when the chances arise. Who knows, I could end up agreeing fully with you in a few weeks HTT!
  16. Atsu lost every single 1v1 today. He was poor. We looked better going forward with Jesus, but for Liverpool I'd stick with Chancel as he's quality (threat from set pieces) defensively and I don't think it will be a game where our FB's get involved much going forward. Yedlin really poor.
  17. Can't believe we lost that, off a fucking stupid set piece as well. Absolutely fuming. They are fucking wank. That was such a good chance to make it 4 games unbeaten, and we lost to them. Liverpool next week is a game that could suit us, but nonetheless a draw would be an extremely valuable point. Infuriating day.
  18. Hasn't but in any big tackles yet, not sure he's cut out for the PL. Hasn't played a midweek night game away in the rain yet, either. You need big personalities to play in the PL and the foreign lads like him don't get it.
  19. Still hope he dies a miserable, imminent death.
  20. Absolutely delighted with the win! Get in!! Who would have thought, eh? Brighton absolutely there for the taking next week. No one had a bad game for us today. It's incredible how much Lascelles has improved under Rafa even in the past few weeks since the Spurs match. Him and Clark are (especially Clark, top drawer). We are definitely better without Manquillo, too. I was in The Corner today, and I must say I thought the atmosphere was a bit depressing at times in the 1st Half- even at 1-0 nee cunt wanted to sing. But in fairness it got going in the 2nd Half and at times, especially after our second goal, there was some great noise! Seems half our fanbase need something to moan about ie an oppo goal or bad ref decision (plenty of them today, he was doing his absolute best to rob us, the cunt) to make themselves heard. Didn't think the Gallowgate Upper were particularly loud as such, but they got people in The Corner going at times and without a doubt are a very welcome addition to the stadium. Might try and get up with them next time. Anyway, buzzing after today! SO PROUD
  21. This literally would've been the greatest night ever.
  22. Going to this, so am pretty excited! 3 wins on the bounce would've be unthinkable after Hudds away so lets pray we can keep this going. Think we're good enough tbh. £32 to watch Newcastle vs Stoke, man... :/
