Agreed. Geremi is a quality crosser of the ball in open play (just look at Owens first goal Vs mackems last season). It just bugs me so much how he cant take a good set piece. OK, he has the occasional good one but thats bout it tbh. I wish we had Nobby back...

Guthrie Id say. N'Zogbia and Geremi are both woeful. Actually, it was a Guthrie corner that gave Martins our goal at OT on the opening day of this season.

Coloccini is quite easily the best defender we've had since Woodgate. He'll probably be better than Woody as well because he can play more than 2 games in a row and I think he just has that extra touch of class. Give Colo time....he'll come good. Infact, hes already had a few good performances already so most of this stick is undeserved i think.

If we get a win (unlikely) Vs City then i'll be looking forward to it a bit morebut otherwise im not exactly filled with confidence. A win would be the result of the season for me tbh. Just with all the mackems shoving it down our throats for weeks and building themselves up....to beat them AGAIN would just be unbelievable. Id take a draw atm though.

I really think Zogg should start ahead of Duff. Yes, Duff did score yesterday but other his second half yesterday, he's offered us nowt each time hes played. Personally, I rate Zogg as one of our most exciting players. At least he RUNS with the ball and gets us somewhere up the pitch. Where as Duff gets the ball tries to take someone on...realizes he cant so passes it back and we get nowhere. N'Zogbia is much more effective imo. Basson looks really good I think. Atm Id prefer him to Enrique. I think Enriques a good defender....like, he can defend its just he wasnt fully fit yesterday and clearly isnt playing with a lot of confidence. Low confidence can make a good player look like quite a poor player. Anyone who played/plays football will understand that. Could well work. If we get an attacking midfielder and get Barton back, then we'll be looking good. But yeah, Barton could form a good partnership with Danny. Hes much better than Butt anyway. Its about getting the balance right when in the center of the park and I think Barton and Guthrie would offer good balance.

Aye, the gap has closed considerably. But as you said, our first 11 is much stronger. In terms of overall squad strength though, theres not much difference either. All their 'squad' players are just average Championship players. i.e McShane, Yorke, Wallace etc. While our squad players are better. Even though our squad is smaller.

Enrique is better than Bardsley as well.
