Isn't this just a bit fishy? i mean i have heard owners owning multiple clubs before but clubs owning other clubs? that's a new one http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/500x/45132698.jpg

Don't why, but the thought of that scene amused me for some reason. Also shows what an influential figure Bobby Robson must've been for him.
-
Except the players that make up one of the better teams we've had in recent decades. Like that is any sort of achievement. Outside of teams that involved Keegan and Bobby Robson, which other ones haven't been wank?
-
Yep. Would be the only outcome that would make it palatable at least. We'd need to finish 7th at least and a top four club would also have to win the FA Cup. Can't see it. Good. Don't want that pesky European qualification in the way of our attempt to have back to back 8th place finishes.

er, no. Not unless they beat Man City. Which they wont. Ahh, maybe I'm living in the past. Thought since Man City will be in the Champions League the Europa League spot goes to cup runners up? Or am I being totally retarded? Totally retarded. If the League Cup winners are already in Europe, the Europa spot goes to the team that finishes 6th in the league instead.

Mourinho more so. He ruined Duff, Robben and Cole at Chelsea first time round and now axing Chelsea's best player by a mile last season to favour more hardworking players like Oscar and Willian, as good as they are. lolwut? Joe Cole's best years of his career were under Mourinho at Chelsea, while Robben and Duff were arguably the best in their positions.

Drew Man Utd judging by the way they are kicking off on their forum?

Pardew is composing a good luck message as we speak...

Only team to not lose a game in both the 2010 and 2014 World Cup Finals...

Taken 13 minutes for Mexico to score their first goal, this is going to get ugly... Thank fuck I resisted the urge to get a cheap ticket.

But it was in London! Why else would the coach of a German team meet his brother who is the agent of a Liverpool striker currently in the other side of the world in London?

2014 FIFA World Cup Brasil™ - Europe vs. America
Pandamninator replied to LucaAltieri's topic in Football
I lol'd. Pretty much sums up what has been a clusterfuck of a World Cup campaign for both us and the Mexicans tbh. Sanchez has probably stumbled onto something, we may as well have trotted out the All Blacks, doubt they'd have done any worse, and the set pieces would've been better at least. -

2014 FIFA World Cup Brasil™ - Europe vs. America
Pandamninator replied to LucaAltieri's topic in Football
Apparently they're planning on only playing the America players since it's at the Azteca and they won't need cohesion as well as playing in altitude. Think it's a great idea, look at Spain for example, their whole team is composed by Barca and Real players. I have no doubt that Mexico will go through in a decent fashion. Alright, but Real Madrid and Barcelona are the two best teams in one of the world's top three leagues. Meanwhile, the Mexican league has to stop matches because people are firing automatic gun outside. There is some difference. I'm talking more about cohesion, it's not like they aren't twice as good individually as the New Zealand players anyways. You could say about most countries compared to us tbh, one thing Herbert can do right is park the bus and grind it out against better teams. It's against the Island nations who we should be passing off the park we struggle the most. If we can 0-0 it (or somehow get a score draw) I would back us to finish the job at the Cake tin, but if we need to come from a decent sized deficit or go down a goal early tommorow morning we'll get steamrolled -

If they don't, they should disband the team and take up some other sport. Our best defender is injured, our second best is managing Toronto FC while our only decent attacking player Marco Rojas hasn't played a single minute of proper football since April. Ricky Herbet's tactics are like some sort of Tony Pulis and Alan Pardew love child. Oh yeah, and then there was the whole losing to New Caledonia thing in the Oceania Cup last year... -
mackems vs Newcastle United - Sunday 27th October @ 1.30pm (live on Sky)

Dummett and Willo ffs. Beyond a joke that might be our CB pairing for an important PL fixture. Well done to Carr, Ashley and Kinnear. Cunts. Hard to plan for three CBs to be missing at once TBF. Aye, I could never have forseen problems with having only 4 CBs when one's ageing and wants to piss off home, one's brand new to the league, one's almost as injury prone as Ledley King and the other's totally crap. Shut up and sit down, Ian. http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m3rtyerfHZ1qir45xo1_500.gif -
Isn't NZ master at grinding out 0-0s ? I think if your lot avoid conceding early at Azteca, you may be able to frustrate them. Mexico seem very vulnerable to set pieces and I think NZ can pick them out on that. But then, I'm just being optimistic and rooting for NZ, because I have a lot of Kiwi mates. Anyways, all the best !! as for Panama, they are spineless. You are 2-1 up, 2 minutes to go...all good. and yet their coach leaves 4 players in US half when US are attacking. Fuck that man !! park the bus and see the game out. I can't believe how open Panama were after going up 2-1. Bosnia played it fantastically after going 1-0 up. just stopped being ambitious and shut the shop. Panama on the other hand, were still going through motions. Manager to blame for me. We are in a similar position to Australia after 2006, had our breakout moment in a World Cup on the back of a golden generation of hardened veterans who were at the peak of their careers. Now they are all either retired or 18 months past their use by date. Couldn't even get past Tahiti and missed out on the Confederations Cup last year because of it.

Mocking people with national pride, perving on hot women cheering for their country. edit: That might have sounded a bit mean. I mean mocking the once-every-four-year-football-fan types who come out of the woodwork with their Uncle Sam hats and star spangled #1 FOAM FINGERS U.S.A. U.S.A WOOOOOO FUCK YEAHHH GONNA FUCK UP SOME SHIT!!!!! HOW DO YOU EVEN PLAY THIS SPORT!?!?! Oh look we got eliminated. You mean like the English after the 2003 Rugby World Cup or during the London Olympics?

The real victims here are the mods of at the Ministry of Truth RAWK. They must've had to work overtime over the past 6 hours to cleanse the board to the extent they have, you wouldn't even know the Suarez incident had even occurred outside of the match thread (which will no doubt be locked any minute now).

I personally don't want Carroll back because we'll try to play a game that will suit him and nobody else. As opposed to what - the carpet football that is being played at the moment?
-
Did it have to be San Lorenzo? Surely one of the larger Argie clubs would've been happy to stump up a little bit of cash as a transfer fee and offer him decent wages for a current Argie international who was just named in the Premier League team of the year?
-
Thought it was pretty common knowledge that Barcelona paid for the growth hormone treatment when was a little kid because of some disease?
-
Fact is, had Keegan not resigned, we would almost certainly been one of the big 4. he resigned because we didn't have the money for him to carry on the way he wanted. I don't think it was just that, give him the 17 million spent on Colo and Xisco as well as a decent chunk of the Milner monies to spend as he saw fit and he would've been happy to stay on. Control was the bigger issue.

I keep seeing this. 'Klopp v Pep next year'. Totally overlooking the fact that Bayern are 9 points clear currently. And there have been times when Dortmund were clear that much clear of Bayern over the past two seasons when they won the Bundesliga... twice.
