Came good last part of last season tbf. Top scorer was he? Not that it says much as our strikers couldn't finish their dinner. When's he ever performed well across a whole season? I've always had time for him but it's a joke to have no alternative there, again. His debut season had probably his most consistent performances. Again, if we were a normal football club I'd be clamouring for an upgrade there also but the desperation for a striker is greater imo. Priority was striker then #10 this summer, it was clear to see. They cost money though. We had better options there in the Championship season but since Diame dropped back we're making do in one of the most important positions in 4231.

Yet another fucking season with Pérez as our only #10 then

Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

Yeah it's classic diversionary tactics here, similar to the Man City comments to divert attention from us actually spending the square root of fuck all. We finished 10th last year and that fat mug thinks we can get away with spending nothing or almost nothing this summer, simple as that. No desire to improve the club in a sporting sense whatsoever, there never has been. -

"Ashley doesn't care about protests" http://ashleyout.com/campaigns/19-04-boycottspurs-protest-review-statement/ "Reports vary as to the true number of fans who passed through the turnstiles and we will not speculate on this. We simply ask everyone to judge for themselves, based on the pictures in this statement, whether the club’s ‘official’ attendance of 47,427 appears legitimate, or if this is yet another clear example of a club lying to its own fans to present itself in a better light?" "Ashley doesn't care about protests" http://sackpardew.com/articles/statements/hull-city-h-protest-final-post-match-statement/ "Black bags were present at a majority of access points and those entering St. James’ Park were routinely asked if they were carrying any “banners or cards”, which were promptly confiscated if seen or admitted to. Bags were searched, club programmes were rifled through and material was snatched out of people’s hands if they did not comply." -
Schurrle there was scope for a pun there, joey.

The thing is, if Ashley just gave Rafa what he wanted then he knows he'd sign. He's not going to leave after having been allowed to strengthen the squad, training facilities and academy. Ashley clearly has no intention of giving him much. Ashley just wants him to commit so he can pull the rug out from under him again as he has done the last few transfer windows, and nobody who has been following the club and has half a brain thinks Rafa should put up with that. -

Yeah, that's not the Lee Marshall who works for the club -
Yeah, that'll be utter bollocks about Mooy. He was too dear for us when he moved from Man City to Huddersfield, never mind now.

Good tweet, there's never any happy medium. It's like saying I can't afford a Ferrari so fuck it I'll walk. Have a bad feeling I've stolen that analogy from Wullie or someone

Would be the first ever deal to be spread over 50 years in installments.

Hopefully he'll class creating a store that isn't an utter shit-tip as "winning a trophy, by the way" and fuck off then. -
And this is the 5th consecutive transfer window we've either turned a profit or spent fuck-all. What you've posted there is bad enough but it's the cumulative effect of no investment in the squad for fucking ages that is really scandalous.

Could be a massive exodus at Chelsea, lots of their players being linked away.
-
They've strung him along for multiple transfer windows and expect him to be daft enough to sign up for another few years of being lied to. Won't be long until the sneaky PR about Rafa's unreasonable demands and unwillingness to commit to the club etc. Every other club is trying to be the best club they can be while we are actively treading water, same as it fucking ever was.

Other clubs are spending more on players than they were in 1995. -
Pfft, what do NUFC 360 know anyway?! Nowt.

I've continued using the Unread tab and it works fine. Best way to read the forum imo anyway, not sure why more don't do so.

That's just silly. How can a player be 'good enough' at 18/19 when there's a ready made alternative somewhere else in the world that a Premier League can easily afford with many years of first team football behind them? Even if they're supremely talented at that age, you still don't have the experience of having played two or three hundred games, which we saw the other night when we looked incredibly naive against the Croatians. That's fair enough, but my argument is that they do get the opportunities at first team level, whether on loan or at their present clubs. Can you give an example of an English player who would have 'made it' but didn't get the opportunities as there were foreign players in their place? I can't think of any, hence if they're good enough, they get into their teams or get a transfer sooner than later. This is a really weird question. Shola*
