  1. did we not win bolton away last season 3-1? just before keegan walked? Errrr no We lost 3-0, at Arsenal. aye, i just checked, turned out i'm thinking of the wrong year. must of just tried to bloke out the memory of last season.

  3. pretty much sums him up, worries defences, but at the last moment, fails. still, bloody brilliant for a championship team. he always adds that little bit of class and the ability to take on players, which no-one in our squad does.
  4. i'm struggling to gauge how well pne are doing really, since ther down in 12th but only 3 points off the play offs. but i'd still expect a win. hopefully get a couple early on and we can try and improve our goal difference.
  5. just put two doubles on. blackburn + spurs. roma+ blackburn.
  6. most of mine have been mentioned before: the atmosphere in cardiff for the man u semi final, remember being in a pub before the match and sunderland missing a penalty and the place going mental, also walking to the ground loads of people kicking a football around untill someone kicked it onto the roof of a pub. being completly outclassed and being overrun, yet still we sang our hearts out while the man u fans left early. obviously getting 40k+ this season has been impressive, it still gets me down abit when i look at the empty seats in the milburn but that has more to do with reminding me of our poisition, than not being proud of our club. when players who left our club years ago and were never from the area use terms like "we" and "our" when talking about the club. it makes me proud knowing that we find a way into their hearts, just like they do to us. a personal one for me is at liverpool away, on boxing day, my dad drove me all the way despite not having a ticket, he ended up watching it in a pub, we lost 2-0 and bowyer (i think) got sent off. despite being 2-0 down at half time everyone was singing along to status quo, except the woman next to me who turned to me and said " it isnt over till the fat lady sings, so i better be quiet", the fact that we always seem to have a lot of fun and banter despite being for the most part in a load of shit, i think that moment epitomised that for me.
  7. Embarrassing stuff tbh. what they saying praised his movement, said he should be taken to the world cup.
  8. i quite like that, quite hard to get started though Why? You just start it with a really slow FAAAAABBBBRRRIIIICCCEEEEE and people would join in, if they knew the words. this is why i think it would be hard, quite a long song and alot of words, especially as is new, but with time and effort, no reason why this couldnt be heard in the leazes in the near future
  9. tbf, ireland look like their taking the whole situation rather well compared to egypt.
  10. i quite like that, quite hard to get started though

  17. Everton FC did a similar event in Canada. It was on Fox Soccer Channel, and was typical reality TV fare. Showed them having open trials in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa, selecting their call back list, then picking 30 or so players to enter the training camp. They whittled down the players, with several games (both intra-squad, and against local opposition) before selecting their winner. The winner was offered a scholarship to the Everton Youth Academy in England. It probably ran as a TV series for 6 or 8 shows. Quite interesting show for those interested in the game. NUFC did that in the middle east a few years back. the winners got refused their work permit i believe.
  18. i kna its been said and all, but this really shocked me, such a shame. RIP.
  19. surely any giant screen would be placed either above the gallowgate/east stand? which would ruin my sweet view of the city. cant think of anywhere else you could put one
