Yes, this season compared with Maguire he has been. There's no reason to choose Botman over Maguire based on this season's performances to date. I'd definitely bet on that being reversed by the end of the season though, it's not as if Botman's been 'Boumsong being torn a new one by Yeading' levels of shite.

Botman's been poor so far tbh, not sure why you'd choose him over any of Man Utd's players just yet. Joe walks into most teams in the league though. He's an absolute beast.

This is what annoyed the shite out of me with Pardew banging on about 'protecting the back 4' when it was plainly obvious that by doing so we were severely limiting ourselves in attack. Let the opposition worry about us, rather than us worrying about them. For years we just allowed teams to come to SJP and play their own game. This era is sooooooo refreshing.
