  1. was there nowhere else he could get treatment that was a bit closer than other side of the planet?
  2. kinda rich for him to moan about the Fergie book when there was the Being Liverpool thing (or to go by what it really was called "Being Brendan Rodgers")
  3. Crystal Palace 0-5 Arsenal Aston Villa 0-1 Everton Liverpool 2-0 West Brom Man Utd 3-1 Stoke City Norwich 1-2 Cardiff City Southampton 2-1 Fulham Sunderland 0-1 Newcastle Chelsea 1-2 Man City Swansea 1-0 West Ham Tottenham 2-0 Hull City
  4. dunno he said he exhausted etc, he may take a bit of time out of football before he takes his next job and tbh the Boro job is very tough
  5. Quite like that Man U starting eleven, happy to see Kagawa & Hernandez get a start. I just don't get how Giggs can start any game these days let alone a Champions League game.
  6. why is a near 40 year old starting in central midfield for Manchester United in the champions league?
  7. joy http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/newcastles-fabricio-coloccini-likely-to-be-out-of-action-until-christmas-8897667.html
  8. Good point from Keane. whereas in his book where he laid into Mick McCarthy the FAI and anyone who pissed him off its all ok from Keanes point of view.

  10. good thing the club have someone to translate his nonsense into english whatever they're paying him its clearly not enough
  11. agree overall he's got some neat skill etc but where's the consistent application of that skill to affect games?
  12. still 2 which is probably my lowest point I'd ever give. probably finish somewhere between 8th and 12th

    Alan Pardew

we have numbers at cb yes but no real partnership has shown up and said we're the best combo pick us every week when fit. Frankly the best combo thus far on evidence on the pitch has been Colo-Williamson and few would react well to Williamson starting regularly. And before anyone mention MYM I have serious concerns about him and Colo playing together and how exposed to anyone with a reasonably big striker can make it look. I honestly think it has to be him or Colo not together.
  14. thing is its unlikely he'll be given time, if the CL position is in doubt then he'll be sacked, Glazers won't want to lose that cash cow
  15. A lukaku / benteke would have been a better option for them IMHO They already have one of those. He doesn't really fit the system though. he's a headcase

    Sunderland

well that was supposed to be his honeymoon period.
  17. Never did Paisley any harm having Shankly haunt him. he did eventually stop him from coming to the training ground. Also hurt Man Utd before post Busby when having him around the place really did seem to hurt whomever was in the dugout Yeah I suppose he may have become a problem there eventually - but overall less harm than good. and but Busby did a lot for Ferguson apparently 15 years later, the problem with Busby was the initial period where all the players still called him gaffer and went to him crying "training is different wah wah wah" Also the problem is if Moyes wants a player and the board members ask fergie is he any good and he says no hes s**** and its inevitable they will ask him about players Moyes wants Tbh I may have been playing devils advocate there, perhaps unwittingly. As previously stated - they could have had any manager in the world. yeah but those managers would probably have wanted to overhaul the squad to an extent (defense in particular looks weak with Vidic and Ferdinand fading) and that would cost the Glazers money they could be using to pay back the money they used to buy the club instead.
  18. apparently he can speak English fine but doesn't want to talk to the media in english

  20. Wasn't Paisley already part of the backroom staff with Shankly ? he was his assistant iirc
  21. a longball option and liberal use of elbows?
