2,000 empty seats tonight. 1,500 of those were in the Villa end That's a load of s****. The away end holds 3,200. They had 1,700 there. -

The way I see it Villa went on like t***s when we went down bearing in mind we had no former rivalry. They took p*ss taking to a different, more obsessive level. I'm more than happy to remind them of that in any shape or form now. I personally think they just have a chip on the shoulder anyways. Everyone seems to from Birmingham who I've ever met. Both sets of fans seem like small time w*****s. I'm more than happy for this bitter little rivalry with them to continue and the fact that that fat c*** Bruce is there just adds to it. It'll make for a cracking atmosphere tomorrow night and the more games with a bit of an edge about them the better as far as I'm concerned. That's what football is all about for me. Put it this way, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's match a lot more than I was the QPR match the other week. -

Modern day football fans don't like petty banter, mocking other clubs etc. They turn their noses up at that sort of carry on. A lot of them don't even approve of singing. Shame because that was what set football apart from other sports all those years ago and now it's sterile as f***. -
Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

Can see Brighton dropping more points today, Barnsley doing well and it'll be a tough game. They'll win today. If they're struggling they'll get a penalty. -
We can worry about next season in good time, for all we know Krul may be back here. There's going to be some hefty investment needed next season, but keeper wouldn't be the priority for me. f*** me, we had Jak Alnwick in goal not too long ago in the premier. The Jak Alnwick fiasco just highlighted how important it is to have a really good goalkeeper at that level. If Krul leaves permanently it's a position I'd be looking to strengthen, no doubt about it.

Didn't Pardew absolutely slate Scottish Football when he was here and refused to send our players out on loan up there because it was such a poor standard of football and wouldn't be beneficial to them?

A little bit of nostalgia for anyone who used to do their pre match drinking in Idols 20 years ago; Alevis Broon

I'd play Diame alongside Shelvey and just leave Perez where he is. Unfortunately that's not going to happen and Colback will be a guaranteed starter for the next few games.

These Russians wouldn't last more than 5 minutes on Wallsend High Street tbf.

I'm pretty sure it was a protest vote.

Conceded another 4 tonight.

I don't know why the negativity surrounding Gouffran, as he does graft but he also very rarely gives the ball away. He could do more going forward but his attacking isn't helped by Dummett not overlapping and protecting Dummett defensively. You don't think Atsu would perhaps be a better bet at home against teams in the bottom half? We've dropped too many points at home this season due to an over negative approach.

Win these 2 and I'd be very surprised if we're not at least 8 points clear. -

I would love to see us go with that team apart from Darlow in for Elliot. -
I can sort of understand Rafa going for a so called "grafter" in Gouffran away from home because he is a defensive minded manager after all but there's simply no reason for Gouffran to feature in our next 2 games. Seems like we played pretty well last night though and if Gayle had been on for 90 minutes we'd probably have won.

Gayle, Hayden and Atsu to start this one please. -
What happened tonight has been coming for a while from him now. Hopefully it acts as a bit of a wake up call for him because the alternatives are poor.

With 6 days till our next match I would have picked a stronger team than that tonight. -

Would take a draw tbh. Think it's going to be a tough one tonight, they seem to have found some form, but after the Wolves result and with 2 home games to come against bottom half teams a draw would be a very decent result. -
Try to get through the whole game without shouting nonce lovers once. Great crack this

Fans were getting on his back because they are 20 odd points behind Celtic. Not really sure how they could have expected anything else tbh. Nah. Rangers fans at work are pretty sensible about the gap, reckoned he's got a big issue with the type of football he plays vs the quality of players at his disposal. Can't break teams down at Ibrox etc. Not saying they sound bin him but the reasons I was given were solid enough. Maybe but those fans inside Ibrox have been giving Warburton and the players a fair amount of stick over the past couple of months.
