He didn't pass the ball forward and into the box once last night, not once. Which other players passed into the box? Our RB had 3 of our 4 shots because of it. So that is a ridiculous thing to criticise Anita for Of course it isn't. Just because other players aren't doing their jobs properly that doesn't mean we can't criticise Anita for not doing his on a thread entitled "Vernon Anita" ffs! They're all culpable and if you go to the Colback or Sissoko thread you'll see they come in for the same criticism. What a stupid thing to come out with. It's like saying just because he's not Colback we can't pick fault with him when in reality they're both as much to blame as each other for not doing what they're supposed to be doing. They are both as s*** as each other in CM. But if Anita not passing the ball into the box is your biggest grievance with him last night, then something is wrong with the way you analyse football matches. But I never once said it was my biggest grievance of him. I was simply responding to another post. You've just made that up tbh. Normally when you single something out, it's something you yourself, deem to be a problem. Why else would you mention it? I mentioned it in response to a post on the previous page that said at least he passes the ball forward. I replied saying he didn't make a single forward pass into the opposition penalty area. At no point did I say that was my biggest grievance of him. Really not sure how you can't get your head round that. Why would he be making passes into the opposition penalty area if he is the defensive midfielder who is going to spend 80% of the game in his own half? If it was Wijnaldu or Colback you were complaining about I could understand. If I was going to pick a fault with Anita yesterday it would be that he didn't do a good job at man marking Payet, if that was actually his brief. And here's another Anita apologist. If you bothered to watch it last night you would know the pundits also picked up on it. He's doing nothing of note in either half of the pitch. Like I said, pointless player.

Somebody said he has the ability to pass forward, thus why he should be selected over Colback. Nobody said that he passed it forward last night. You appear to be assuming. Really not sure how you can't get your head round that. He doesn't have the ability to pass the ball forward though. In fact statistically in terms of goals scored and created in their respective times as NUFC players, Colback is the better of the two offensively. That says all you need to know about Anita. Couple that to the fact that he's also useless defensively and it's a struggle to make a case for him being anything other than a totally pointless player. You can continue to try to make a case for him though by all means.

Your points would be a lot more valid if you could spell his, admittedly difficult 6 letter, name correctly. It makes not a bit of difference to the point I made. You're clearly clutching at straws if a misplaced letter is the best retort you can come up with.

When you buy a player from a country like Holland you're clearly taking a risk and hoping that he can up his game massively from playing against two bit teams most weeks to some of the best players in Europe. At PSV he was in a team who had 70% possession most games and dictate the way the game is played, the total opposite to us. It's a big ask and he'll take time to settle. Still think he'll come good in the end.

Newcastle United vs Watford - Saturday 19th September at 3pm (not on TV)

Pressure's on with Chelsea and Man City to follow. Wouldn't back this pack of cowards to pull something out the bag when the heat is on them so I reckon 0-2 here. -
Tried to defend him at times last season based purely in the fact that he looked like one of the only ones trying as most of the others had downed tools and he chipped in with a few goals and assists but he's clearly got a chronic lack of ability which is a pretty big problem in this league. There's a reason why he's never finished outside the bottom 6 of the league I suppose.

He's still got his seat on the board no matter what happens. Just couldn't make the goings on at this club up.

Perfect summing up of him really. Really doesn't. He offers quite a lot, just not in a team that wants to but doesn't have the ability to play a short passing game. He offers nowt man. Doesn't score, can't tackle, not a great passer of the ball, not particularly quick, or creative or good in the air. Just nowt about him. Could say that about a few of them like. You trying to take College Dropout's worst poster award? Jesus. If you're disagreeing with any of that you've got it in the bag. Either that or you've never actually watched him and formed your opinion of him based on this forum.

He should never have been given the job. Couldn't hack it in the Championship but he's cheap, English and grateful for a job he shouldn't really be anywhere near so he fits the bill. This is life under Mike Ashley and the main reason me, and 1000's of others won't set foot inside of St James' Park until he's gone.

The Daily Mirror must be well in there now. Just walked past the training ground there and there's Daily Mirror signage all over. In some cases it's replaced space previously occupied by S****s D****t signs.

Sunderland. Although I think they've put their Catts for England campaign on hold. -
I'd be devastated if I paid 300 quid for that and the bairn took it to bits when I wasn't looking. "Look dad, I built a rocket ship".

Always thought he was a massive lads fan like.

Kilcline would be up there but Billy Whitehurst used to beat up gypsies in his spare time so I reckon he would take it like.

Newcastle 0-1 Andre Marriner - 29/8/15 - Post Match Reaction From Page 5

How was it dangerous though? No actual force. It was reckless because it was careless, but no way was it dangerous. He could have broken his toenail and got an infection. -

Thing is if you're sending players off for that (eyes on the ball and stood in his foot) you will never see a match in the PL finish 11 v 11. Of course the cynic in me would suggest that had it been an Arsenal player on a Newcastle player a red card doesn't get shown.
