Don't get too carried away. I'd be of the opinion that Maguire is a better option than Burn.

It's a fair criticism, but improved is a touch of an understatement to be fair. He's started every game for us in the league

Shaw has also been good for us this year, but Hall and O'Reilly are better options.

Maguire been very good for us for quite a while. Surprised by that decision.
  5. A lot of the bigger sides use the League Cup to play youth and reserves though and only take it seriously towards the end of the competition. I think the FA Cup is more prestigious and therefore more hotly contested.
  6. League > CL > FA Cup > League Cup > Europa > Conference if we're going for difficultly I'd say.
  7. League > Champions League > FA Cup > Europa League > League Cup > Conference League.
  8. Brighton 2-2 Man United Burnley 1-1 Wolves Palace 1-2 Arsenal Fulham 1-1 Newcastle Liverpool 2-1 Brentford Man City 2-0 Villa Forest 1-1 Bournemouth Spurs 2-1 Everton Sunderland 1-2 Chelsea West Ham 1-0 Leeds
  9. To play Devil's advocate, I don't see what he's done wrong to get the criticism he does. He did well at Chelsea despite being under basket case Boehly. He'll be a success at City.
  10. This seems very realistic tbf.
  11. Imagine Fernandes had people in front of him who could actually finish.
  12. Neesy is talking utter pish. He had one poor season, one good and two unbelievable ones. Were going to miss him badly.
  13. Find this argument a bit mad to be honest. He has fucking Bournemouth in 6th and still in Champions League contention. Bournemouth! That's with losing Semenyo, Huijsen, Kerkez, Zabarnyi and Ouattara. It's an incredible achievement.
  14. With the benefit of hindsight, he was successful aye. He seems to be the butt of certain jokes for opposition fans, but if you ask any Man United fan when they were at their happiest since Fergie, the vast majority will say the Ole era. That includes the periods where we won trophies with Jose and Ten Hag. If Carricks interim role was mean to serve as an audition, then he has obviously passed. He won't get the same patience as other managers though. This is his second interim stint and he's had a better structure in place than most of the others and much better players to work with as well. Itll be interesting, but I don't see him being a success. Hope I'm wrong.
  15. I really don't like the "will you ever learn" approach mind. People reference Ole like he wasn't a success. Third, second and a Europa League final in two full seasons should not be looked at negatively IMO. Ole's football was miles better than Carricks.
  16. I know people hate these stats, but they paint a pretty decent picture IMO.
  17. I like idea of Carrick but I watch the games and I think we've rode our luck an awful lot. The performances under Amorim were miles better, but the results were poor. Carrick is winning games we don't really deserve to be winning. Could be wrong but I'm uneasy with it as it stands.
  18. Villa 1-2 Liverpool Man United 2-1 Forest Brentford 2-0 Palace Everton 1-0 Sunderland Leeds 2-2 Brighton Wolves 0-0 Fulham Newcastle 1-1 West Ham Arsenal 3-0 Burnley Bournemouth 1-2 Man City Chelsea 1-1 Spurs
  19. Yeah, this is a big mistake.
  20. Romano reporting Joao Gomes to them is close and the Ederson deal is stalling.
  21. Feels like we've been linked with 6/7 midfielders already mind. Is that Italian journo reputable?
  22. If Casemiro does that he's banned for four games.
