Did we fuck. Champions League here we come.
-
They'd prefer it.

It's pretty much done. Bournemouth need to win all four of their games, we need to lose all four of ours and there also needs to be a 14 goal swing. A point secures it officially.

Always loved Newcastle. Champions League here we come.

The only reference point is Solskjaer. Third place, second place and a European final. There's nothing to learn from.

I sit beside a season ticket holder who thought Fernandes was crap AND rated Antony.
-
A terrible shame after what Simpson, Butt and Smith gave you.
-
You all wanted Elanga when I told you he wasn't good. Now you don't want Ugarte when I'm telling you he is good.
-
Definitely a downgrade on Tonali, but if you get £50-60m and Ugarte it's a good deal.
-
Typical Amorim performance. Dominate the game and lose. I wouldn't swap our situations now though.

Not on the wind up. Just going by what the line-ups were on Flash Scores. Lots of injuries, but very capable teams were put out for every game. Teams more capable than 18th that's for sure.

Well this is true. He's not a progressive player at all, but he is very good at swarming attackers and winning the ball. If he just stuck to this and gave the ball to someone else straight after he'd be a very effective DM. I'd say his time at us is effectively done, but I don't think it's because he's a bad player by any stretch.

By far the best European coach I've had... So he's better than Rudi Garcia basically.
-
All joking aside as well, there's definitely a player there with Ugarte. He can't build any momentum now because he's not first choice but when he was played solely as a DM I actually thought he was very good. I'd be wanting £20-25m for Ugarte. I was expecting £5m for Elanga.

According to Mitten and Whitwell who are as close to any at the club, there's been no noise at all around Iraola. It's probably Carrick. Iraola would surely be a better option mind.
-
Ian is even more protective than Yorkie.
-
They're probably worried about being in a situation next season where Parker has won the Championship but they want rid of him for the next PL season.
-
He can't handle it? Or his squads can't.
-
That's partly what I'm getting at.

Here's a genuine question, mainly aimed at the Howe out folk... Do you think he would thrive in a structure like Man City where the executives handle the major strategic decisions and recruitment is highly data driven to bring in players to fit his tactical style and system? A lot of the criticism around Howe seems to stem from the perception that he has too much control over transfers and key decisions, so I'm genuinely curious how people would think he would do in that sort of setup.

Aye, but since then Maddison and Bentancur are now back in the squad, with Bentancur even starting. Would imagine against Villa it will be something like: Kinsky Porro Van de Ven Danso Spence Bentancur Bissouma Kolo Muani Gallagher Tel Richarlison Players like Dragusin, Gray, Palhinha, Maddison, Bergvall all on the bench and available. It's still a £500m squad.

It's a point I've been trying to make but keep getting hit with numbers. They've had loads of injuries of course, but they're scattered all over the pitch where they have very capable deputies in every position. They've very rarely had to play anyone out of position if ever. Maybe a full back on the side of the pitch they're least comfortable on. It's not the same as an injury crisis where you're missing 5/6 players in one position Have a look at some of their worst results of the season: Beat 3-0 by Forest in December. The team was Vicario, Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence, Gray, Bentancur, Kudus, Simons, Kolo Muani, Richarlison. Davies, Palhinha, Bergvall, Tell and Johnson came off the bench. Beat 1-2 by West Ham in January. Vicario, Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Davies, Gray, Gallagher, Odobert, Simons, Tel and Kolo Muani. Spence, Bissouma, Solanke and Bergvall off the bench. Beat 1-3 by Palace in March. Vicario, Palhinha, Danso, Van de Ven, Porro, Gray, Sarr, Souza, Kolo Muani, Tel, Solanke. Bissouma, Gallagher, Richarlison, Simons all on the bench. They've always had a good team available. Romero misses time but Danso or Dragusin are available. Udogie misses time but Davies was available. Davies missed time but Spence has been available. Bentancur misses time but Palhinha has been available. Kulusevski misses time but has been available. Solanke misses time but Richarlison has been available. I referenced us in 23/24 saying we had an injury crisis. An example was when we played Palace (lost 4-0). Our injury list was Fernandes, Lindelof, Maguire, Malacia, Martinez, McTominay, Rashford, Shaw, Varane and Kambawala. We had to play Casemiro and Evans in centre back with Dalot as a left back because all our centre backs and left backs were out injured, even the youth ones. Our bench that day was Heaton, Bayindir, Amrabat, Amad, Collyer, Jackson, Ogunneye, Wheatley. Do any of you even know who half of them are? IMO, that's a crisis. tl:dr Spurs have a lot of injuries, but it's no crisis. They can do one. Leffe can support us when they're down.
