Disagree with your second and last paragraphs. The modern day/young fans aren’t very vocal I feel. That and the bigger numbers of families and women. Definitely wouldn’t pin it on old people although I agree it won’t help. I think it will be something that will come up. Especially if/when new ground is announced. Have you asked any of these fan groups to say something? They are just a conduit to their members or those that bother to contact them. I can happily bring it up at next NUST meeting but not sure when it is as usually only once a year.

No he wasn’t. He was excellent at LB barring a few games. Also allowed us to convert to 3 at the back most games with Trippier adding a man into midfield and help with our suffocating press which we sorely miss nowadays. Such short memories some people …

Football doesn’t work like that.
-
They should rethink these qualification groups. Seem pointless.

Don’t hate the player hate the game. PSR actually allowing clubs to justify raising ticket prices to their fanbases as only way of competing. It’s evil genius.
-
The cost to expand doesn’t count against PSR. Any extra money from tickets sold whether it be football or other events does. No brainer for them.
-
In fairness not many of our fans actually knew what he did either. He’s just a process guy. No eye for talent spotting. Never did.
-
Think I called it middle of his first season once his initial winning run ended. Will be surprised if he makes two seasons. He’s a big few weeks ahead.

Just seen the Forest goals. Onana

Who is in the league this season? Only Liverpool and Chelsea I feel have anything about them with Arsenal close behind. 17 other teams are just beating up each other.
-
We did but they did nothing with it. Similar v Wolves. We actually had the better chances and Barnes should’ve won it 1-3. Neither games were a robbery. Tight yes but if watched with a fresh perspective neither Spurs or Wolves we’re all that.
-
We were up against the best HOME team in the division so was always going to be a tough game. As is any away game in the EPL.
-
Schar getting unfairly sent off? We were better than Spurs. Bournemouth handball decision was correct. Can’t recall much go for us this season.
-
Ultimately football is about moments and this season we’ve been on the wrong side of them. 22/23 we were on the right side of most. 23/24 it felt an even split at best. 24/25 we aren’t getting the rub of the green it feels. NONE of them are anything to do with EH. The owners. PM. The transfer strategy. Injuries and so on and so on. This week alone we hang on against Palace, Gordon slots his 1v1 and Isak rounds the keeper and puts us 1-2 ahead. You could be talking at a great week and 9 points instead of 2. This is the story of this season. Teams have them. The fundamentals however don’t need to be ripped up because they didn’t.

Nope. I believe our 4th season was Leicester’s league winning season. Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs returned to their norm. Aston Villa capitalised on fixture free season with early domestic cup failures. We were the next best team without going backwards. The balance of the team you could argue wasn’t as good with us not looking as defensively solid. We did lose our two big defensive signings in Botman and Trippier that season. Tino did well but Hall has shown this is the first full season he’s been ready for. 7th was a great achievement and we probably deserved 6th TBH.
-
In their defence (despite me agreeing to a degree ref Barnes) they were bought under a strategy that wasn’t expected to be in play still. The strategy then was to have 2 HQ players in each position. You can debate the order in which you do that but you can’t argue we are strong at LW and now not suspended in midfield.
-
Not going in to heavy as your last sentence you acknowledge the situation. I’d go further and and say we did great to to get 7th in a campaign that contained no rotational games in 6 in the UCL. No rotational games in either domestic cup competitions yet we beat both Manchester teams and were robbed from an another winnable semi when we played Chelsea. Only the best team ever knocking us out of the FAC on their own ground. That and us breaking our goal scoring record for a top flight season. I wouldn’t say we went backwards at all. Especially with what felt like 14 players available majority of the time.
-
He wanted Tosin and Guehi and got neither and settled for Kelly. That’s not what I’d call backing your manager. Especially in a window he had to sell two players he didn’t want to. Backing a manager is different to simply agreeing with his targets. You got to secure them.
-
I don’t think they have those doubts. Like I say. Every time he’s been backed he’s repaid with interest.
-
What has he shown why he shouldn’t be backed in the transfer window? Every window he’s been backed he’s achieved objectives and beyond.
-
Disagree. I think they have MORE patience than our vocal fanbase. They are aware the EPL have shifted the goalposts since the takeover numerous times leading us to be inactive pretty much in the transfer market and actually having to sell players we’d rather we didn’t have to. Best start to a season and a QF with potentially a SF in our grasp and that’s without the FA Cup starting which without any guarantees would look to have us in the 4th round if we do what is required. Loads to play for with a bit of luck. Priority with the owners now is the revenue streams and maximise success under a restricted budget until rules are changed. Cant think of a better manager to have under those circumstances than EH. Keep the faith. A good January and the picture may look very different come May.
