  1. My mate bought one on eve of the season and his transaction number was around 75k. Might mean nothing but sounds about right if some people were discouraged from previous year’s lack of success. Last year the club said we had just below half the membership that Borussia Dortmund have which is 200k.
  2. Nope. So tune back in March. Maybe Lawton and Zeigler at best. As for the associated parties case hopefully next week according to Matt Lawton on Talksport.

    Lewis Hall

Spot on to be fair. Will hopefully improve game by game. Got to show him some trust however i wouldn’t start him in a four against Man City at the present. Maybe not Liverpool or Arsenal either.

The more they discuss the more it’s handball actually. Ball definitely struck below the armpit which Webb said was handball. Just basing how big a ball is then quite a bit of the circumference needs to be above the shoulder for it not to be below the armpit which it wasn’t.

VAR shouldn’t have. Didn’t say the referee shouldn’t have. Referee didn’t see it properly so you can argue if it was allowed Bournemouth got away with one...
  6. To the untrained eye this looks a bit like a European Super Lea…g..ue 🤔
  7. Webb sitting on the fence whether it was a goal or not. VAR probably shouldn’t of got involved but also if ref had disallowed they wouldn’t overturn it either as it looks possibly slightly more handball than not but very very close so could see the argument for those thinking not handball.
  8. Another VAR nightmare. How can they give handball that many phases of play back!?

    Sean Longstaff

We’ve no legs in midfield without Willock. Bruno I’ve said from day one is fairly slow and the reason top teams won’t pounce. Joelinton quick when he gets into a canter but not in short yardage. Longstaff as one paced as they come. Was noticeable the difference on Sunday between our recovery pace (and partly desire) when losing the ball which cost us the goal and Arsenal’s when they lost the ball in similar areas.
  10. Ref MA not who to play. Just who to sell. Which would then make APs mind up in advance who to play leading up to the window.

How do you know it was EH? Would’ve thought it was Bunce. When he was available EH started Tonali. Since then he’s been managing his minutes. It’s not as if he was particularly great. Seem to recall him getting caught on the ball on the byline and thinking he could leave the ball to go out leading to a dangerous attack. More dangerous position than the one that lead to the goal should’ve turned out. It was Willock who put our midfield to shame. Yet no one expected him to be on the bench never mind start.

This. Joelinton and Bruno were no better than Longstaff that 1st half. All things being even (Tonali ban never happened) I’d probably of expected Tonali to start instead of Bruno returning from Brazil late in the week. I repeat I’m not a big Longstaff fan. However i know he’ll do a job when needed and given some actual support and encouragement. My memory a little hazy from Rafa/Bruce but when he was getting all the plaudits (Next Carrick?) i seem to recall him playing deeper, having to run less and actually passing it longer around the pitch. Maybe doesn’t fit the role being asked of him now as well as when his career with us began. Feel the job he does now was probably better suited to his brother.

Not really. Bunce (the mechanic) will of expected that and planned accordingly with EH. He returned and played 1/3 against Spurs and looked gassed and 1/2 against Wolves and looked a bit fitter. He was never ready for 2x90. Trust the process.

Longstaff gets load of abuse AND criticism. What rock you been under?* * Was that criticism or abuse out of interest?

  18. Wonder what they’d think of VAR 🤣
  19. Sky used to. Like most their innovations over the years they seem to of ditched them. Player cam. Fan coms etc.

I agree with you on the valuation. You can’t however fault EH’s transfer record with us so far. Especially in the position we found ourselves in. Remember. Virtually no one needs our money in the EPL or wants to help us. So there will always be a premium most of the time if a prized asset. Talk of £60-75m was crazy though.
