Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

This would be a statement signing - trying to keep calm but did not see this coming. -

Totally agree - his metrics match Isak and he is 2 years younger - this would be some coup and IMHO terrify the cartel. -

Apologies - it was on the transfer rumours thread - it was: Elanga Ekitike Gallagher Scalvini Trafford -

I think this may be the case - an earlier list of dream targets was about £230 million, rinsing Liverpool for £85 million for AG would make the list very possible. Not sure what to hope for but no doubt the next few weeks will be the usual transfer window ride of emotions. -
He gets us ...................... WHOOO HOOO Brilliant signing.

I believe Kudus is the knobber who does the "stool" celebration and after he couldn't get a "stool" at ours my humble opinion is, he is worth £2.50 and a pack of pork scratchings /j

You can see why Ryan highlighted Elanga's dedication. This is a player who spends two-and-a-half hours in the purpose-built recovery room in his home after games; who works with a fitness coach and sports therapist in his own time; who kept boredom at bay during lockdown by only kicking the ball with his supposedly weaker left foot to improve it... This bit from the Chronic article has certainly whetted my appetite and the transfer bath is overflowing!

If - this happens - it smells like Gordon - I was not convinced and at 40 m it was so overpriced - IMHO. I think Elanga will be a similar revelation - (fingers crossed).
-
Just saw this - absolutely terrible - RIP to both of them.

Hopefully this is 4D chess - where we are attracting Chelsea to our 2nd choices, knowing they like to copy our homework, and once they've spunked their ill gotten gains on those players, we then move in on our first choices unopposed. I can dream.
-
I think Elanga is worth £55m in todays market - 23, can strike the ball with both feet and in Eddie's team he would be a pressing monster and that's without the link to Isak being mentioned. IMHO
-
If anything it showcases our weaknesses and I am 100 per cent Eddie will not be happy and the relevant players will be recruited and binned. Champions League here we come!
-
No hyperbole - but I believe he is our best player - he makes everything look easy.

[LCF] Newcastle United 2-1 Liverpool - NUFC LEAGUE CUP WINNERS
cannybagoftudor replied to 54's topic in Football
Was watching on internet in a different room to wife and son - they (I thought) were playing a video game - they came in with big expectant smiles on their faces whilst I was still mentally blowing away every Liverpool attack - it was at that point I realised they had watched the final whistle on the TV and it was about 30 secs ahead of me and I cried. My wife said it was the most emotional I have been in 20 years. I never thought I would see NUFC win a trophy in my life- I turn 60 next month and today will be etched on my soul forever - I know that sounds OTT but unless you follow a club with no success (but some vinegar strokes) you wouldn't get it, it starts to get under your skin. We were magnificent and by far the better team on the day - fully deserved and I will have a joker smile at work tomorrow. -

Oh this is glorious -
Rest in Peace - loved him.

WTF - my Gast is well and truly Flabbered.

My bipolar obsession with NUFC - win ecstatic, lose mope like a cowed dog - will finally be expunged if we were to win this. I am sure there are many other fans who suffer in the same way. This is an opportunity to remove the albatross from our necks, the monkey from our backs and the mote from our eyes (I know). IMHO - A victory here WILL set NUFC as a force for years and it will give all of us the freedom to support without the crushing anxiety - something serial winners do not understand. HWTL.

Personally I would prefer Liverpool - I would love to put the ghost of 1974 to rest - (I know I am ancient) - but I would die happy knowing we had beat those scouse fuckers in a final.

Fabulous speech - I heard it in Arthur Marston's voice from RDR2 - not sure if its yours or a copy and paste job - but there is no truth there - society has to bring all religion, gender, politics, hate, love, colour, creed together or WE as the human race will not survive. Think. -

Is this the first victory at the mouse trap since 2013?? Absolutely brilliant - we are so on the up. Shame about Schar but wow - loving it.
