OK what you do is approach de Boer or Garde or Tuchel or Benitez and get them signed up on a pre- contract ready to annoucne at the end of the season. You tell the fans and Bob's your uncle.

Also if Garde is to bring his own staff - now or at the end of the season it means Carver is getting the chop. Garde is unlikely to want to work for the the remaining 17 games with a second in command who knows he is being sacked. So the only reasonable scenario is either - getting his old staff now and getting shot of Carver and Co. or waiting until the end of the season. My guess is the hold up is because we are haggling over Carver's release and the cost of getting Garde's staff.

We need a Head Coach who will instill a playing philosophy which works from junior right the way to the senior team. A Head Coach who will take young players and develop them to fit this structure. Players will then always know their roles and injuries and most importantly to this regime - sales will have minimal impact as we would always have a good fit for the positions on the pitch. Looking at the candidates on the proposed shortlist Tuchel is standout in this developmental area. I did originally suggest Ketsbaia but I guess that was more heart than head

Friend of mine, GP with background in mental health, has diagnosed Pardew as a pure psychopath. In his case, it's indicated by the narcissism you mention, and also by: the anti-social behaviour the violence the compulsive lying the lack of empathy Google 'dark triad'. He's an appalling excuse for a man, and football manager but in mitigation, he's very ill. My guess would be that this is the psychological profile of a football manager at a big club - or probably most clubs

He displays some very skilled footwork, quick and precise but his stamina and decision making can be suspect. But both will improve - IMHO I think he will make it
